Bestow Capsule Hostel

I booked a space capsule, and it seemed fine at first, but it was creaky whenever I moved in it. Then on my second night, I lay down and the slab under the mattress cracked completely. I informed staff who looked at it and asked if I could still sleep in it. There was no apology and then he said that there was no other space capsule available but said that the wooden capsule is same price and they have one free. He took me there, and all I have to say is if they are charging the same price for the two capsule types, the wooden one is a rip off. There was no air con in the actual capsule, only a fan without any settings to make it cooler/warmer. The capsule was also absolutely filthy. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned. In addition, whilst I was able to lock the original capsule from the inside, this is not possible on the wooden one, which made me feel less safe. The mattress in the wooden capsule also did not fit properly in the capsule. The member of staff said that I may also have to pay for the broken capsule, despite having only used it for intended use!!

The bathroom situation was also pretty bad. Like other reviews say, the showers are essentially over the toilet. The showers drip so toilet seats are always wet. Furthermore, several of the doors have a see through mesh circle on the door so anyone can watch you on the toilet/shower.

On my final night I went to the toilet and another guest was using the toilet without closing/locking the door. I informed reception and they went looked and then did nothing. The guy who was doing it had also stared at me as I had walked to the toilet so I felt quite unsafe as a solo woman.

Bed Bug Issue: I encountered bed bugs in my first capsule. Although staff moved me to another capsule, my luggage had already been infested so the problem continued. I asked for a refund, which was denied, though they did compromise by offering me a small room in the Bestow Hotel instead.

Constant Noise: The hostel is quite loud, with the biggest issue being constantly slamming doors that woke me up in the middle of the night.

Unannounced Construction: During my last week, they started renovating the kitchen without any prior warning, leaving the area loud, dusty, and uncomfortable

Alquilan la toalla por 10 RM. Una vez estuve en más habitaciones de caja de madera y el A/C no se sentía. La cámara tenía un ventilador muy pequeño que servía de poco. Otra vez estuve en las cápsulas, estuvo mejor. Pero mi cápsula tenía una rotura en el piso. Se hundía la cama un poco
