I recently stayed at Novotel while dealing with a severe stomach infection, and I cannot thank Kiran enough for the exceptional care and kindness he showed me during such an uncomfortable time.
Kiran went above and beyond by arranging the necessary medicines for me and even paying for them himself. He was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, regularly checking on my well-being and being mindful of what I should eat and drink to aid my recovery.
His compassion, professionalism, and genuine concern made a difficult situation much more manageable. Employees like Kiran are rare, and Novotel is truly fortunate to have someone so dedicated on their team.

Pros:

Had a wonderful stay at Novotel OMR Chennai! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The hospitality and overall service experience were excellent throughout the stay. Special thanks to Krutika for being extremely helpful, courteous, and ensuring everything was smooth and pleasant. The staff was professional, the food was great, and the ambience was perfect for both work and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chennai!

Great food and value for money
Pros:

Compact rooms , good views and very lovely staff and cleaning department. I misplaced my tablet and they went out of their way to help me . My family was able to spend time with me during buffet breakfast n dinner. Lovely bar staff and restaurant staff

Not a good experience! Chose Vivanta over Novotel
Pros:

I stayed in Novotel for one week, and the experience was disappointing.

Talking about the food & restaurant:
For fruits, the same cut fruits were served all seven days — mostly watermelon, muskmelon, and occasionally papaya, none of it fresh or good. Breakfast was repetitive too, with the same items served every day and the taste was consistently poor.

If you have biryani daily, whether it’s chicken or mutton, it tastes the same. It feels like they cook it the same way every time and just mix in chicken or mutton afterward. The sweets also lacked variety. Overall, the food is not recommended.
There are only 2-3 people to serve the tables and you sometimes have to wait for 15-20mins just to get a glass for drinking water.

I stayed at Vivanta last year for two weeks, and it’s right opposite to Novotel. Compared to Novotel, Vivanta is much, much better — the food and service are both good.

Talking about service at Novotel: in the mess or restaurant, there are usually only two or three people serving. You’ll often have to sit at the table without a glass being provided. Room service is also poor — you have to call two or three times before anyone comes. Housekeeping is not good either.

A TIP: The water provided in the rooms for drinking is with such a seal that you sometimes can't even open it. It's with sharp edges and a kid or lady can easily get injured with it. The cap is so difficult to open because of it's poor quality that you sometime have to use your teeth.

The only positive is the transport facility. Mr. Tara Nath Behra manages it very well. If you need a cab from the hotel or a pickup from the office, it’s always on time.
