Location by the Hoe..it was clean. Staff welconing
Paying
staff brilliant
location excellent
very clean and comfortable
no breakfast but fully understand reasons for doing room only
The location was excellent. The staff were really helpful.
Room way too hot. No housekeeping came to clean the room, so had to ask for fresh towels.
All in all a nice hotel. The bed was comfy, the location was perfect and staff were polite.
There was a desk fan but the room was boiling, the tap and shower had no pressure ( we didn’t bother using after we’d turned the shower on and saw the water trickle out….. very disappointed by this), the bar had very limited drinks and no snacks,
The staff were very friendly
No breakfast.
Damage in the room.
I understand the hotel is up for sale which is why there is a reluctance to spend any money on the upkeep
It was a short stay but had everything i wanted for that , will recommend.
Location
plumbing problems - low flow and no hot water-staff dealt with it but didn't completely cure the problem
The location was perfect especially being so close to the hoe in the hot peak of summer
Très bon emplacement et personnel sympathique.
Le petit-déjeuner n’était pas servi lors de notre séjour, alors que le site indiquait qu’il était possible d’ajouter cette option sur place. Nous avons également subi une coupure d’eau.
Nice size room with a bay window and a bit of a seaview. Free parking at the rear was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Bedside lights were very dim, couldn't see much so had to use main lights
Location was excellent for both The Hoe and The Barbican. So close to the Lido and views of the coastline.
The staff on reception were exceptional.
The bed was on a tilt so not very comfortable and the hotel was noisy all night with guests moving around and talking. Walls are so thin you hear every floorboard creak. Very little sleep.
The hotel is well located on top of the Hoe only one block back from the front. The car park was really useful but is often full.
The door to the passage did not fit well and let in the light. The pillow was small and hard. Otherwise it was all good.
The hotel was in an ideal location for my needs and the staff were both friendly and very helpful. The check in was very easy and simple and i was given a change of rooms from the forth to second floor after a discussion about access only being via stairs. I was also able to park my car which was an absolute bonus as daily parking on the street is £19.50.
I hadn’t realised that there was no lift as at this moment I have mobility issues and could not have easily managed to get to the room offered on the forth floor. In the bathroom there was only a small bar of soap and no shampoo, there was a small bottle of hair conditioner which was no good for a man with very sharp hair. I think these days an automatic dispenser over the shower should be provided.
Location
Very basic room - you get what you pay for..
No breakfast - that was one of the highlights, but no more
I thought the room was overpriced and even though it was clean, the room was tried and well worn in need of refurbishment. £135 per night for one person in a double room to a poor standard was expensive to say the least.
I visited twice before.hotel is in good location, staff are friendly and courteous will definitely be returning again.
