Best Hotel in Hertford with amazing staff!
Pros:

This was our second stay at Hertford House, a lovely atmosphere and the staff were amazing.
The restaurant has amazing food and again the staff were brilliant, very attentive. Our room was daily attended to and very polite and friendly. Absolutely love this Hotel. Will definitely stay again.

Cons:

Our only criticism, an extra chair would be nice in the bedroom!

Friendly and helpful staff, good location.

Cons:

Bed was low and the corner posts stuck out which gave the risk of stubbing your foot if not careful. Breakfast menu changed with change of owners, (sophisticated options), example was the smashed avo on toast which before came with an egg on top, now deconstructed with bland Virgin Mary sauce. Sometimes all you want is plain scrambled egg on toast or an omelette. The granola seemed to have been soaked in either honey or golden syrup then hardened in someway, very hard to chew.
Wine options very limited and very expensive, an example is a medium French merlot was at least 50% more expensive than in a normal pub, this was in their pub.

We highly recommend the hotel but there could be a problem for people with a car.
Pros:

The food in the hotel was expensive but of excellent quality.
The staff were very friendly in the hotel and restaurant.
A big thank you to the staff member who brought us a heater and the one who helped me with taking my luggage down to the main road.

Cons:

It was a cold weekend and the heater did not come on in the room at all. We were grateful for the help of the staff member who brought us a portable heater.We

From the moment you arrive you get a very warm welcome.
Zoe and her colleague was on duty the day I arrived and explained everything to me.
I had a nice sized room with a great shower.
It’s quite simply a great hotel with the best staff.
There’s a bar next door which is very nice and tasteful. done.
You also get a very warm welcome, Jess the manager ( I think) told me all about the place and local area, amazing.
Highly recommend.

Well situated and great rooms
Pros:

Comfy bed, clean modern decor. Yummy breakfast.

Cons:

We stayed on a busy Saturday night and our room overlooked the square. Noise continued till past midnight. It did t bother us too much though and we still slept well.

Great place for overnight stay in a pretty town.
Pros:

Great downtown location on quiet street. Nice room. Lovely breakfast. Helpful staff.

Cons:

No car park and i got a ticket for overnight parking in the nearby multistorey car park.
