Je voyage très régulièrement aux États-Unis. Je suis parfaitement habitué à payer les taxes de séjour et les taxes locales, c’est normal. En revanche, je n’avais encore jamais vu un hôtel pratiquer ce niveau de frais cachés.
Au moment du check-in, on vous annonce qu’en plus du prix de la chambre, vous devez obligatoirement payer 49 $ par nuit de soi-disant amenities. En réalité, cela sert simplement à financer l’accès à la piscine et aux installations de l’hôtel, que vous les utilisiez ou non.
Si vous venez avec une voiture, ajoutez 75 $ par nuit pour le parking.
À cela s’ajoutent encore différentes taxes et frais, comme les Room Fee Tax et les Tourism Improvement District Assessment. Au final, comptez plus de 100 $ supplémentaires par nuit, en plus du tarif affiché lors de votre réservation.
Je n’ai jamais rencontré une telle pratique dans tous mes voyages aux États-Unis, et encore moins à Los Angeles. Ce n’est pas une question de payer des taxes : elles sont normales et font partie du voyage. Le problème, c’est le manque de transparence et ces frais obligatoires qui gonflent considérablement la facture au dernier moment.
Si vous réservez cet hôtel, faites vos calculs avant de valider. Le prix affiché est très loin du prix que vous paierez réellement

The fact i couldn’t get a coffee latte after 3 pm. If it’s available multiple staff didn’t give me a solution.
Clean, modern with lots of organic touches made it feel very serene & the location was great
There was no help with our bags when we arrived which I believe for the cost should be a given & not something that we need to request.
