Friday Harbor Suites

So to be fair I need to give the only good parts and then the absolute worst parts.

First the good, the staff being the second first desk lady and I’m sorry if I mislabel his position the maintenance guy.
I booked a “renovated king suite” when we arrived early we were told the room was not ready ok no problem we explored until about 430 and came back. When we got the key I was never told her your room won’t have a tv in the bedroom so to my surprise when we arrived I found a king size bed with what looks like clean but old linens, and a table I have to call it a 2 person dining table because it’s too high to be a desk, there was no chair so it’s a table in the bedroom. This can’t be right I didn’t pay 486.00 for a bed and table did it.
In the living room there is a sofa and chair both old, which you can tell by the wear on the arms, a small 4 cube storage under a 55in tv.
The outside patio has a small bistro table and 2 chairs wooden that was old never properly stained or sealed so it had water damage. The patio needed a power wash, the screen to the patio was torn at the bottom. The bathroom was old, colored countertop loud exhaust fan.

I thought maybe I had mad a mistake because surly this can’t be updated , or renovated it was diy special job noted by the white paint on the black cabinets. I went down to ask the one of 2 people that started were good in this place the women stayed that we had 1 of several rooms that did not have a tv in the bedroom, they had no additional TVs in the building there were ordering more. I asked to switch rooms fully booked can’t. I asked for the manager not there “ she was at her other job” I was told. But the reservations manager would be in the next day. The guy I mentioned went above and beyond giving us his personal tv off his wall with his tv box so we could watch tv in a king suite.
By chance I was able to book a new room at 123inn absolutely amazing experience night and day. So I left I called the manager the next day Veera I spoke too stated we don’t no refunds despite the misleading pictures on line, the lack of tv or ability to actually give a room that’s like the pictures. I fully intend to dispute the charge of 486.00 due to misleading and false advertising. We stayed in room 215. Don’t book here it’s old, not updated, has an odor of old days past. it’s not worth the 500 dollars

I left within 45 mins of arriving being so upset I did not get a chance to take pictures I may have to eat this one but if this helps anyone else that payment enough

Clean

Location was great and the beds were very comfortable. Staff members were very pleasant and accommodating.

10 to 15 minute walk to the waterfront. The room was fine. Asked for an early check in and was told they would call when the room was ready. It was clear the room hadn’t been occupied the night before but we didn't get a call. The room was nice and clean; suitable for our family. Note that the coffee shop is closed on Wednesdays but there is coffee in the room.

Level access to most rooms and a shuttle service. The property itself is getting a bit “tired” and needs a remodel but it is clean and comfortable.

Good location, near airport and car rental across the street. Shuttle service was helpful getting to/from the marina and seaplane. Having 2 rooms was nice. Medio café made for convenience in the AM. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. Would stay again.

Great location. Quiet. Hot tub. Clean, comfortable room. Helpful staff.

Location, bed, pillows. The restaurant was outstanding!
