Beautiful hotel in an historic building. Very attentive staff.
We loved everything about this place! It was traditional and beautiful and also comfortable. Amazing location, great breakfast and friendly helpful staff! Can also very highly recommend Joann Khaw as a walking tour guide. The hotel have her details.
Loved it!
Beautiful location in the old town and Judy and Ruby were so welcoming
Beautiful building. Full of character. Lots of thoughtful touches . Helpful staff. Excellent location. Great nights sleep.
Nothing to dislike

Rien
Well located in an interesting, but slightly less "touristy" part of Georgetown. Breakfast was adequate, without being special. The facility has a quaint, olde worlde air to it, retaining some of its original character. All in all it is comfortableble and relaxed, and we would be happy to stay there again.
The stairs to the first floor are steep, with narrow treads and are potentially dangerous. The "restoration" seems a bit tired in places.
The uniqueness and authenticity of the accommodation and beautiful staff that were helpful at every turn
Excellent staff and excellent location! Very comfortable rooms.
Absolutely nothing
Helpful staff allowing us an early check-in and leaving the luggage for a late check out.
Centrally located in Georgetown, near the Mosque and temples, yet quiet inside the unit. We were not bothered by noise in the bedroom even though we stayed on a Friday and Saturday night.
Traditional Peranakan style house. Our suite was large and on the ground floor with a inner courtyard. There is another unit above us which has 2 bedrooms. 2 bottles of water are provided each day and you can refill them with filtered water in the common lobby shared by the two units. We were provided with all that is needed for a comfortable stay eg. TV, coffee, tea, kettle, fridge, safe, charging points, soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. Fans in all rooms and the bedroom has both aircon and a fan.
A simple Western breakfast was included; served at the restaurant of the same name from 8-10 am.
The courtyard area has one step up and one step down and there are 2 steps to get into the private toilet which is outside and accessed through the court. Need to be careful when going to the toilet at night.
Some areas are not so well cleaned eg. the shower room area.
The place has a rustic feel with the paint peeling in areas and bare cement flooring.
No place to hang towels and clothes inside the bathroom; which can be easily fixed.
Only a queen size bed is installed although it seems like there may be just enough space for a King bed to squeeze into the bedroom.
The breakfast was very good; A/C strong; location is IDEAL to explore George Town; the bathroom was unique (in a good way); staff extremely friendly and helpful. It's a landmark as we often saw tourists pausing while they passed to take photos. Building has so much character and history.

Stefan, the owner, along with employees Ruby and Judy who directly take care of everyone, are the most wonderful people ensuring a wonderful experience in Penang! Our room was spacious, the facilities met the highest standards, breakfast was more than enough food, and having Christoph's Bistro/Brasserie next door was a most pleasant surprise at which we had 3 incredible dinners. Ruby and Judy couldn't have been nicer helping to assist in organizing our activities and experiences around Penang, organizing a taxi for our 5am departure the night before, and always being available for questions and support. In addition, the location is perfect, close to all entertainment in Georgetown but on a quiet street.
Nothing.
Great location. Makes Georgetown very walkable. Loved the open air bathroom.
Great wine selection at Christoph’s.
The owner and employees put a lot of heart into the place.
Nothing.
Localização, espaço muito acolhedor, limpo. Simpatia da anfitriã
Pequeno almoço demasiado pequeno
