Super location just noisy..
Maybe possible during the week but otherwise music till morning.... then loud house keeping staff 3 days in a row came out of my room to humbly ask if they could keep it down.....

This is my 7th time staying at the Slipway and it doesn’t disappoint. I do miss the supermarket that used to be located downstairs. I love the ocean views, sunsets, breakfast, and convenient access to shops and souvenirs. The restaurants - especially aroma Zanzibar and Thai Cano are delicious and the juice bar is an excellent touch. The Lido lounge and padel courts were a fun addition this year. I also enjoy the spa each time we come. Thank you to the consistent and wonderful staff. Asante!

Great place to stay. Beautiful atmosphere. Plenty to do.
But I had a VERY BIG issue checking in. When checking in hotel did not have booking from Expedia. I showed proof of booking and gave me room for 1st night. But said they were full second night, so I had to talk to Expedia about it because I did not want to be without room second night. But was told to just wait. It ended up working out and hotel let me stay in room both nights. But having the extra stress was unfair to me .

Nice hotel within a walking distance to the beach and also many small shops to get items that you need before traveling onward in Tanzania

Enjoyed this property- the room was spacious and air conditioned with a little balcony that overlooked the pool and water. The bed was comfortable and the shower had excellent hot water. Restaurants and shopping right at hotel.

Everything was nice and went according to plan. Again! Had a quick stop for one night and enjoyed my clean and nice room with a seaview. Spent some time at the pool with a chilled class og wine. (Did not swim because nobody seems to care about the rules and no one showers before getting in!) Had a sundowner in my room and dinner at Waterfront at night with friends. Good times! Next day i ordered breakfast to my room for a small fee But soooo worth it. All the staff Are friendly and service minded. I will be back in Dar i July and will with out dobt stay at Hotel Slipway! Can hardly wait! Asante sana for another great stay!

Just an overnight stay here between transfer from Mafia to the flight home. Whilst we would have normally booked a "Airport" hotel it was great to have a trip through Dar in the dusk and morning, and the 40 minute journey was well worth it for the great hotel location overlooking the bay. We ate at the waterfront restaurant in the evening which had a good selection of food (both in price and range) and a pleasant busy environment. Breakfast was also taken and had a wide choice on offer and well supported by friendly staff. All in all a place to wind down before a long flight.
