Location: Located right off North High Street in the northern part of Columbus.
Atmosphere: Down-to-earth lodging with unassuming rooms, plus complimentary Wi-Fi and parking. Today was my first time that I booked a room at this hotel, and I really loved how there was a no smoking policy when me and my sister first walked into the lobby.
We don't smoke, and we appreciated the policy.
In addition to complimentary Wi-Fi and self-parking, the Red Roof PLUS+ Columbus - Worthington features:

In-Room Conveniences: Microwaves, mini-retrigerators, flat-screen TVs with expanded cable, work desks, and hair dryers (plus coffee/tea makers and upgraded bedding in select rooms).
Common Area & Services: A 24-hour front desk, free coffee/tea in the lobby, on-site coin laundry facilities, and vending machines.
As for the laundry, it is three dollars in coins to wash and dry.
The location was convenient.
I had twins who are 2 years old. There was asbestos on the floor caused from the door hitting up against the wall. This was on the floor the moment we checked in. Also, on Saturday morning I went to the front desk and waited for the clerk to arrive for about 3 minutes. The elevator doors opens up and he decides to finally come from the back to greet the woman coming off the elevator. He sees me and says, "Can i help you?" I asked him for two trash bags. He goes, "How many?" I repeated two. He says, "A couple, ok." He tears the trash bags and before handing them to me he popped the bags in my face and then hands them to me. I thought that was so rude of him to do in my face.
While a good location, the condition of room was lacking. Attempt were made to update it, but it still felt like a glorified dorm room, rather than an inviting hotel room.
There was a bug immediately upon entering room. Heat pump controls were broken, with instructions to use the wall thermostat, which was also broken. A refrigerated truck was parked and running outside room all night. The fiberglass bathtub was cracked, and “fixed” by gluing a rubber mat over it. It was still unstable, which is dangerous for occupants of an ADA-compliant room. I didn’t get any rest and left earlier than planned in the morning, just to get out of the depressing space.
Friendly, welcoming, accommodating staff. Older place well-maintained. Spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds. 24/7 coffee/tea in the lobby.
There was a strong food odor in the 2nd floor hallway, pretty overpowering.
Nonexistent soundproofing around the door to the adjoining room.
