When booking, I saw info stating breakfast was paid for (certain amount) and then was told that wasn’t the case. Disappointing and confusing. Also, did not learn soaking pool was closed until after we booked.
Sorry - answered this in previous box. I liked the decor and ambiance and spirit of all McMenamin’s. Love the secret rooms and specialty pubs. Nice to have tv’s now, maybe a fridge someday (for leftovers).
The restaurant was conveniently on property. The room was comfortable especially the big bed. The Broom Closet was a fun “secret” bar. I enjoyed the coffee service on the third floor of the art house.
I was sad that the soaking pools were closed for maintenance. The lighting in the restaurant and rooms were very dim.
Lots to do on site
The soaking pool was closed for renovation
Quirky and unique experience
Liked it all
All staff very friendly and the atmosphere all around was great! Kinda funky like you’d expect from McMenamins 😁
Historic aspects, the funky colored lights, the little tucked away bars. Excellent bed. Cucumber smash cocktail! Central location for walking to restaurants and river walk.
Wish: curtains closed all the way, wooden rings and curtain rods prevent this. We happened to have a clothespin, so used that. It is also midsummer, so light comes in early! Chairs in room were a bit more comfortable. Shower pressure could be better.
Loved the breakfast delivered to room. Historic, cute, entertaining, nice staff, downtown location, lots of interesting little venues and specialty bars.
Didn’t like their beer.
The rooms were clean and comfortable; the entire complex was well maintained with lots of open air areas. The neighborhood was interesting with many and varied facilities including the old Tower Theater.
Location
Cool and quirky building. Good restaurant and really enjoyed the indoor pool.
Location, vibe, architecture, decor
No in room amenities such as a way to make tea or coffee, and no refrigerator which, given the price was a negative.
Everything was perfect! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very cozy and was located in a perfect area to go to downtown Bend. We will be back
We liked the location, the staff, and the varied historic facilities on the property. It is a compound!
We stayed across the parking lot from the main building in the Ed House. Terrific room, comfortable bed, and decor reminiscent of the era it represents--there are surprises throughout the property! Easy walk to restaurants, breweries, cafes and the river.
We regret that we only stayed one night and could not absorb all the great offerings of McMeneman's!
