A truly special place with lots of character.
Pros:

Villa Astra is a beautiful old villa in Lovran with a very special atmosphere. Mr. Vjekoslav' idea was to create a hotel that doesn’t feel like a hotel – and that’s exactly what it is. It feels personal, relaxed and wonderfully peaceful.
The garden is quiet and secluded, with access to the sea just across the walking path – a perfect place to slow down and simply enjoy being there. And Alex and Ingrid were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout my stay.

Hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt.
Pros:

Das gesamte Ambiente, Hotel, Außenbereich mit Pool war sehr angenehm und die Lage ist perfekt, kurzer Weg zum Meer und die Altstadt ist auch zu Fuß sehr gut erreichbar. Frühstück war einfach lecker.

Vacker villa, fantastiskt läge med god frukost, dock med stort renoveringsbehov.
Pros:

Fantastisk läge i lugnt område strax utanför Lovran. Mycket god frukost (serverad av Ingrid) som serveras på balkongen med härlig utsikt mot havet. Bra service tillmötesgående av Alex.

Cons:

Stämmer inte helt överens med bilder och tidigare rating. Stort renoveringsbehov.

Zauberhafte Villa direkt am Wasser
Pros:

Schöne alte historische Villa in Top Lage.

Der Besitzer Vijeko und die beiden Angestellten Alex und Ingrid sind sehr nett und kümmern sich rührend um die Gäste. Ganz tolles abwechslungsreiches Frühstück auf der kleinen Terrasse mit Blick aufs Wasser. Schöner geht's kaum. Unser kleiner Hund durfte auch problemlos mitkommen. Man kann wunderbar direkt am Wasser bis nach Opatja laufen. Super bequeme große Betten. Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück war auch für unseren großen SUV perfekt .

Vom Garten her hatten wir mehr Blumen erwartet, da hätte ich am liebsten selbst Hand angelegt und die schönen Stein Schalen neu bepflanzt....

Pros:

Dorucak je bio jako obilan i raznolik. Smjestaj je prekrasan, bazen, dvoriste, sve. Atmosfera je jako mirna i opustajuca. Osoblje Aleks i Ingrid su jako ljubazni i usluzni. Svidio nam se boravak u ovom objektu i planiramo se vratiti opet.

Gorgeous and Unique Property - Austo-Hungarian Villa Directly on the Lungomare Promenade
Pros:

The location is truly breathtaking. The villa one of a handful in a row of mansions from the Austro Hungarian era along the Lungomare Coastal Promenade. There are not that many properties along this stretch of the Kvarner Riviera, and the experience of staying right there is truly amazing.

To make the experience even better, Vieko (that might be misspelled), the former business executive and now owner do the property has lovingly managed the villa as a labour of love.

Heads up: if your ideal vacation is staying at the Ritz in Paris or the Four Seasons in Tokyo, this is not your place. It’s unique and bohemian and the walls are decorated with Vieko’s paintings.

Location - incredible 10+++
Convenience - great - parking, easy to get to with a car, lovely walk to everything
Hospitality - 10+ Vieko and Alex were so friendly and accommodating
Comfort - wonderful - enormous bed (2 fulls!) that was very comfortable. Room size was very large. Good amount of furniture for two people to be able to work. Desk, little table for eating snacks, two stuffed arm chairs plus a love seat. Side tables. Two sunning seats for the gorgeous terrace overlooking the Istrian Sea.

Here’s my only “complaint” and I understand why he does it…the shower in the bathroom is one of these low water use sprays-type nozzles. It’s described in the wall. It was fine with me and it serves the purpose of saving water and the environment.

Dank der Lage nur 100m vom besten Einstieg ins Meer mit Geländer und Stufen auch für ältere Semester bestens, dem freund
Pros:

Wunderbare Lage direkt am Meer mit Pool!!! Extrem ruhig. Betten super. Freundlicher Service, üppiges Frühstück bis 11h. Viel Platz im Garten, da nur wenige Zimmer immer viel Privatatmosphäre wenn gewünscht.

Cons:

Die Liegen könnten erneuert werden, die meisten schon seeeehr durchgelegen. Auch die Bezüge sowie die Sonnenschirme sind nicht mehr taufrisch.
