Pros:

Great location, room looked fantastic and air conditioning was a must.

Cons:

The on-suite was very small, there was 1 tiny wardrobe so my clothes stayed in my case.
The cooked breakfast was ok if you got up at 8am but dried up by 9am.

Riverside Ely
Pros:

Great location. Very very clean, comfortable room with entertaining riverside view. Not noisy. Windows opened, not a given in lots of places. Airconditioning really helped as the weather was very warm. Felt safe, which is a real thing for women travelling on their own.

Cons:

Door locks announcing they were unlocked. Likely specific to the room as the very nice luxury private bathroom was across the hall so locks announcing their status felt like they could be intrusive for other residents in the night. Breakfast window very narrow 8-9.30am. Having to leave for work meant missing breakfast. Tbf I didn't ask for an alternative.

Pros:

If, for any reason, you have an early flight from Stanstead - don't stay at the airport, this place is 40mins away by train (literally 5 mins walk from the station/Stanstead Express) and is pretty idyllic and chill with riverside vibes. You can explore the historic city centre and Cathedral. Why wouldnt you do this instead?

A lovely overnighter with friends
Pros:

Lovely location. Very clean. Easy to check in and find room.

Cons:

Parking in the area a nightmare. Thick duvet in the middle of summer. Room a bit cramped. Slightly overpriced.

very relaxing weekend
Pros:

the room was excellent clean, bright and plenty of room. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of choice. Location was excellent by the riverside with great views from the room and bars and restaurants close by

Lovely position by the river.
Lovely guesthouse inside.

Cons:

Layout of the guest house, meant that my special needs brother could not just walk to our room from his, he had to go outside the door at the front and around to the side door to get to ours. Breakfast was quite basic.

Affordable and Fantastic
Pros:

Air conditioning was a saving grace in this heat. Affordable, comfortable bed, everything clean, and everything you could want in your room and bathroom. We will be using this place as a base for our future Ely trips.

Very Highly recommend
Pros:

Excellent room so clean and very comfortable. Excellent view of the river. Breakfast was superb.
Overall I would highly recommend The riverside inn to anyone wanting to visit Ely.
I will be staying again shortly.
