Nothing
The hotel was amazing! It is very close to Little Adam's Peak, so we were able to join the walking tour organized by the hotel. It was a really impressive experience for us. In addition, the room was very clean and the staff were incredibly helpful. We loved Ella and we loved this hotel. If you are traveling as a family with kids, you can have an amazing time just staying at the hotel, alongside enjoying Ella's beauty. If you plan to stay here, don't forget to leave some time just to enjoy the hotel itself.
Beautiful resort with very friendly staff - turn down service especially good. Restaurant staff super friendly, Indika was particularly engaging.
Amazing sunrise walk to Ella’s Rock with Gayasha who is super knowledgeable
Great setting. Peaceful and in the heart of nature
Restaurant was a bit limited
Amazing location amidst nature, spacious rooms with great views.
They are cutting down on cost. Even though the hotel was quite occupied they were not serving full breakfast, but a limited array of dishes only. It is a let down considering the room prices that they were charging.
Excellent location n hospitality.. all staff were great..naturalist ghayash was excellent and enhanced our overall experience!
Insects in the washroom
Our stay at 98 Acres in Ella was a wonderful experience. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views, a thoughtfully designed atmosphere, and a level of attention to detail that makes the entire stay feel very special. The staff were exceptional throughout, warm, welcoming, and always eager to help, which truly added to the experience.
The breakfast setup was also impressive, with a large variety of options and a beautifully presented selection. However, we did have one unfortunate experience with the vegetable burrito we ordered, as the filling appeared to have spoiled and was slimy inside, suggesting that it was not fresh. Given the otherwise excellent standard of the resort, we feel this is an area that would benefit from greater attention and quality control.
Overall, 98 Acres is a stunning resort with incredible views and genuinely wonderful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and with more careful attention to food freshness, the experience would have been truly flawless.
Best hotel in the Ella area. Stunning views, luxurious suites, amazing service and welcome ceremony. A special thanks to the manager who is attentive to every details. Thank you very much for making my birthday so special . A must for everyone wanting to experience the extraordinary 💗
I stayed at 98 Acres with my parents and it was honestly just beautiful from start to finish.
The property itself is stunning - every view feels like a postcard and you can tell so much thought has gone into every detail. The staff were incredibly attentive without ever feeling intrusive, just genuinely warm and helpful throughout our stay.
Little touches really stood out: the snacks left in the room, the turndown service in the evenings, everything just felt considered and well done. The spa was a real highlight too - I had one of the best massages I’ve ever had there.
Breakfast was also a dream, especially the porridge (simple but honestly so good).
Overall, everything was just perfect. One of those places you leave already wanting to come back to. Easily a 10/10 experience.
Beautiful view. Big room. Good location. Decent breakfast. I had a great massage (Shanthi).
If you’ve seen the movie Blended, this was it. Suppper touristic and performative. It felt like too much. It was a bit ridiculous. The food they serve at the restaurant is tiny for an expensive price.
The bathroom isn’t enclosed so you can hear everything from the bedroom. The rooms are poorly made, they have left a big space which is glassed and all the birds just go and chill on it… but it’s the bedroom so you get disturbed by them all the time. The neighbouring rooms were under construction. We should have gotten a discount for that reason only. I don’t go on holidays to be bothered by construction site, especially for that price. The staff is very nice but also too performative.
We had an excellent stay at 98 Acres. The hotel, surroundings, food, and service were outstanding. A special thank you to Kusal, Tharindu, and Lahiru for their warm hospitality, professionalism, and exceptional care throughout our stay. They made our experience truly memorable. Highly recommended!
