The location was perfect, because very near our event venue.
The dampness of the pillows, even though slightly, I still have to cover them with the towel.
Het personeel is enorm gastvrij, vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
De kamers hadden gebreken zoals niet functioneerde airco en kapotte minibar. Kregen snel een upgrade van de zeer vriendelijke office manager echter had die kamer ook gebreken zoals kapotte raambekleding, lekkage in de wc, bevlekte beddengoed.
Het hotel toont hier en daar slijtage en slecht onderhoud. Vooral het tapijt in de kamers zijn versleten of hebben veel vlekken. Veel van de versier marmer bij de liften zijn afgebrokkeld.
Vaak zijn gerechten op het menu van het restaurant niet meer te bestellen omdat deze op waren.
Ik hoop dat het hotel de gebreken snel oplost want het is nog steeds een fijn hotel om te verblijven maar het management moet wel het achterstallig onderhoud aanpakken..
Das Frühstück ist sehr asiatisch geprägt.
Die Bar war an Ostern geschlossen. Das Hotel kommt langsam in die Jahre und eine Renovierung sollte man ins Auge fassen

Good standard of room. TV channels all worked.
Queueing for 45 minutes to check in. It was not just about the number of people - the system they were using is super slow.
Aircon in the room was quite weak.

Originally when i booked the room i booked a smoking room(partner an outdoor smoker) thinking it would have a balcony like we did before covid. They no longer have balconies so the smoking rooms are quite disgusting as in there is no ventilation and i felt i needed to vomit after 10 mins from the smell. However no problem for them to move us to a non smoking room which was clean and fresh
The view on the seaside is splendid. The lokation when you want to explore Makassar is perfect. Food is delicious. And the staff is very helpfull and friendly.
The location is perfect to go around Makassar. Close to the harbour, the fish market, the museum La Galigo and other interesting places
The furniture and general decoration is a bit run down and out of fashion

I stayed at this hotel during an international conference where I was invited as a keynote speaker. Prior to arrival, I had reserved a sea-view room through Booking.com and informed the conference management accordingly. Unfortunately, an additional reservation was made for me by the organizers, resulting in a duplicate booking.
While I was already in transit, I contacted the hotel to request cancellation of one of the reservations. I was informed that the cancellation was being processed. However, upon arrival, I was told that no changes could be made due to Booking.com policies, and I was advised to wait for further updates regarding the conference booking. Later, I was informed that I needed to pay for the first night of the unused reservation, despite having notified them well in advance. This delay in communication resulted in an unnecessary charge for the same night twice.
Additionally, although I specifically booked and paid for a sea-view room, the room provided did not have the view that was promised. This was disappointing, especially after a long journey.
The breakfast selection also did not meet the expectations for international guests, with limited variety and options.
Overall, the lack of timely communication, failure to honour the room request, and inflexibility in resolving the booking issue made the experience far below the expected standard. I hope the management reviews these concerns seriously to improve guest experience in the future.
