Did not eat there but nice looking menu and good selection of non-alcoholic drinks!
Slight traffic noise as had room at front on road.
Location excellent, breakfast good
The room was small, stuffy and the carpet had a musty dirty smell.
The heat in the room
Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo avuto un problema e ce lo hanno risolto velocemente. Cibo delizioso e atmosfera rilassante.
Le pulizie delle camere potevano essere più accurate
Nice old friendly pub. Great location
Very clean, comfortable & friendly staff. What more can one want for a little weekend away.
Nothing
Quirky hotel
Meagre continental breakfast. Difficulty flushing toilet, only half a toilet roll for 2 day stay, only one milk in room. Had to ask for more. Got the feeling they didn’t want to give much.
The staff when booking were amazing, as we're in our 80's they advised us to book room 2 as on ground floor. The shower room is huge & the bedroom so lovely & so comfortable. We will definitely recommend & stay here again. The breakfast food was delicious, well cooked & hot¹ready to start the day.
Nothing
Location - easy to find, short drive from Windsor Castle, plenty of free parking;
Rooms - ground floor, decent size, surprisingly quiet, sleep quality good, solidly equipped;
Wifi - worked well;
Bathroom - size OK, shower and hot water worked well;
No major issues
Comfortable bed, clean linen, well sized en suite with good water pressure, very close parking. Only reservation is that the room was quite small, with little room left to walk around the double bed (queen-sized?). Friendly attentive staff.
I opted for a full English which was good value for £10
Nice pub beautiful location
Pub shut very early most of the staff were very pleasant just one who never cracked a smile and barely spoke, apart from that an enjoyable stay
The staff were great, nothing too much trouble.
The rooms could have done with a deep clean. There was a delivery right outside my room at 7.10am one morning and the next morning a motorcycle parked outside my door.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the location is great for the town centre and the rooms were nice and spacious. Comfy beds.
A bit rough around the edges but the few issues we got sorted out.
Breakfast was good and very personal. A proper ground coffee would have been appreciated. The room was good and the shower facility room.4 excellent in an intetesting quirky bathroom as befits a 15 th century pub.
Nothing really but remember its a pub which has a closing time perhaps later than your bed time
The property was pretty and just out of the hustle and bustle of the town which was nice
The cleanliness of the room was questionable the shower shelf I couldn’t use because it was hanging off the wall. The toilet didn’t flush properly and was going brown in the bottom.
The cleaning needs more attention and the curtains had physical thick dust on and lots of cobwebs.
We ate dinner the day we got there the steak was ok no complaints there’s
Breakfast the first morning was not great eggs were hard and just felt like it had been chucked on a plate the 2nd morning was much better.
Staff were lovely but in the morning they were sat having their own chats and out of the 3 times we ate there no one checked on us when we got out food just when I went to pay
Staff very nice and friendly. Breakfast was good piping hot and tasted fresh.
Extractor fan outside when we were having breakfast, and also as it was so hot outside windows had to be opened and I could hear it throughout the night.
Checkout was good, however when we returned back from our meal out in the evening at around 10.15pm the pub was closed. There was a note on the door explaining that we could gain entrance to our room through the back door and there was an emergency telephone number to contact. The back entrance is quite along way round to walk at night, and I thought that this should have been explained when we arrived.
Central location, staff are very friendly and helpful
No air conditioning in room but fan was provided. Found it a bit too hot and uncomfortable to stay in during summer time despite having the fan on
