Very pleasant with polite, friendly and very helpful staff in all departments.
Pros:

Car parking service and their staff excellent.
Rest of hotel staff very good.
View of the sea and coastline magnificent.
There was a problem with a non-functioning lock first night in first outhouse but we were quickly moved and well compensated so that actually counts as a plus.

Cons:

Wasn't expecting an outhouse of sorts. It would have been even better if the rooms had had telephones in them in case of emergency because we had to use our mobile phones to call reception and the signal was sometimes poor. Reception was nearby, which was good.

incredible hotel with gorgeous views - will definitely be back!
Pros:

loved everything from start to finish! the view from the pub outdoor seating is incredible and all the staff were super friendly, especially with our puppy! Our beach suite was amazing, loved the views of the ocean, the deck chairs outside and the bed was so comfy! The beach near the hotel was also alot quieter than other areas of Torquey, will definitely be back!

Cons:

Only a couple small reccomendations, it would have been helpful when checking in if staff explained the local area abit more, for example there was a footpath right behind the hotel, they could have let us know about this and also explained how it worked with the papers, as we organised an FT for each morning but they did not explain that we had to collect it ourselves from reception, very small points as everything else was incredible!

A hidden haven
Pros:

The intimate proximity of the sea and stunning cliffs from the terrace reserved for residents only. It’s a perfect blend of quintessential old England with a contemporary twist (eg. the gorgeous spa). The service is as charming as the situation. This is a pure gem.

Cons:

Nothing - except I’d possibly consider stripping some of the pub wood to give it a slightly more rustic and more authentic feel.

Lovely hotel in a great setting with charming staff
Pros:

Lovely setting with a great selection of rooms. From very smart beach huts to cottage style properties. We have had both with the last trip booked for my parents. They had a lovely time and want to visit again as do we. Can highly recommend this property a real gem!

Cons:

The only frustration are the wait times for dinner which took a long time at each occasion and several errors in orders. Just some training needed here as the hotel have great staff but seem very much run off their feet at times. Then the hotel has always been full when we have visited so very busy.

You cannot get closer to the sea than this hidden little hotel.
Pros:

We have always seen hotels in hideaway cove like this and thought one day we will stay in an hotel like that. Well it didn’t disappoint us, it’s not for the faint hearted to drive to down a windy steep hill but it’s worth the drive. It’s a hidden gem right on the rugged beautiful sea front. It was such a peaceful stay for us.

Cons:

We liked everything, the staff were very friendly and had a valet service to park the car. The food was delicious and our room perfect.

Luogo incantevole ma con qualche cosa da rivedere in cucina.
Pros:

Struttura ubicata in posizione incantevole, isolata e tranquilla e con una vista incredibile sulla spiaggia limitrofa di Babbacombe praticamente deserta. Bell'hotel con camere molto confortevoli.

Cons:

Un po' disorganizzata la cucina, sia il pomeriggio quando abbiamo chiesto un "cream tea", ottimo ma arrivato oltre trenta minuti dopo la richiesta (con la scusa che lo schef era stato richimato per preparare due scones...) sia per la cena, dove i tempi sono stati lunghissimi probabilmente perchè sotto dimensionati a livello di cucina e personale di sala.

Fantastisch!
Pros:

Personeel en de locatie, alles was mogelijk en heel vriendelijk! Het eten was ook erg goed! Ze hadden aan de kinderen gedacht met emmertjes en schepnetten. Heel leuk!

Cons:

Bijna alles, alleen op het strand waren jongeren die veel lawaai hadden ‘s avonds. Maar daar kan het hotel niks aan doen. En er was geen airco. Meestal ook niet nodig, het was toevallig extreem warm!

The location and the room (beach hut) the perfect. Service was very friendly.

Cons:

Could have been more variety on the dinner menu. A light bites option would have been good in the evening, for those people lunching out. That was only a lunchtime option.
