Pros:

The staff is very friendly and the location is very good.
Unfortunately the towels and the bed sheet were dirty (multiple stains). Moreover, the soundproofing of the room is not good (you can easily hear the neighbors).
There is a new breakfast formula compared to last year, but I find the previous one better.

Felt homely but needs better maintenance in rooms and pool area
Cons:

Some minor upgrades would have made the stay more reasonable was a bit of a let down that it felt ignored and I think staff would be more happy if place was better maintained as needs attention before gets too bad

A great stay, just tweaks to breakfast needed
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at Akana Boutique. We had a third floor pool facing room which was nice and quiet, the room itself was clean, with comfy bed, airy and the bathroom was decent. The staff had a specuial surpirse for us as it was our weddign anniversary, which was a nice touch.

The location is good, it's near some decent shops and warungs off the beach, and just an easy 5-10 minute walk to the beach. The fact the hotel has its own sunbeds on a great spot at the beach is a real bonus. We based ourselves here, eating at the nearby warungs on several days and they were never busy or unavailable. The free bikes are also a great bonus - we used these one evening to head up to northern Sanur and the different (busier) atmosphere.

Our one main complaint was the included breakfast - we found it quite limiting in what it offered as you had to make one set choice from around 4-5 different options. For example, one morning our son fancied bacon with his scrambled eggs but was charged extra for this, despite the fact that on other mornings we didn't include bacon when we could have, or declined sausage for example. I understand charging non-guests for breakfast extras but feel that for residents there should be more flexibility on the choice at breakfast without the fear of being charged if one morning you may have one extra item. The morning staff seemed quite reluctant to allow any flexibiliity. The items were often quite cold too.

Having said all this, I would recommend the hotel and would stay again at the right price. The pool area is a nice addition to chill out, the cocktails were well made and the staff were really very nice and helpful at all times. Just please loosen up the breakfast approach and it would probably then be 5 stars from me.

Fantastic boutique hotel in quiet area of Sanur
Pros:

This is our second stay at Akana Boutique Hotel and again we were very happy. The room is spacious and very clean. Staff are excellent and very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will return.

Pros:

Receptionist Ikzy very welcoming and helpful! Nice beach lounger from the hotel at the beach, very nice! The garden around the pool is very beautiful, cozy!

Spent a couple of days here
Pros:

Honest cheaper style hotel, clean rooms and bathrooms, not close to the beach. Situated in central Sanur, close to everything and has a good restaurant. Would stay there again. Excellent staff. Pool very small.

An Amazing Stay
Pros:

Amazing staff throughout our stay. We were greeted with warm smiles and got an early chack in. Room was decorated to celebrate my wifes 60th, they even had a cake and sang happy birthday. Also a small bouqate of flowers

À part le petit déjeuner sympa, une catastrophe cet hôtel !

Cons:

Mur du couloir et Chambre pleine de moisissures ! On le signale et quelqu’un vient passer un coup de chiffon, fait voler la moisissure au passage et sourit en disant « ok - finish » 🤔

Meubles vétuste, personnel de la réception pas des plus agréables.. après 3 semaines passées sur l’île, on a été bien mieux reçu et logé partout ailleurs.. pour moins cher en plus !
La literie n’est pas de première jeunesse non plus. Pas de prises près du lit,

Top hotel op een toplocatie!
Pros:

Super! Ondanks de beoordelingen die soms wat negatief waren (en ik dus wat op mijn hoede) en de taxi die niet op de airport was, terwijl wel afgesproken, ben ik echt zeer positief verrast! Hij oogt zoals de foto’s en het is gewoon een heel fijn hotel. Goede zorg, fijne bedden, goede hygiëne!

Cons:

Communicatie is soms wat lastig. Verder de taxi die er niet was op de airport. Maar dat is netjes opgelost.
