DO NOT STAY HERE. We are absolutely not happy with our stay at hotel Adriana. First I confirmed a crib would be placed in my room months ago and we get here and no crib. Asked multiple times and SEVERAL hours later we finally received a crib. Hours passed when my child should have been in bed. The rooms are filthy, not clean at all and oh don’t forget the WORM I found in my salad at the hotel restaurant. My brothers room also had a broken AC unit. I would give this place negative stars if I could
The room was a very good size on the 2nd floor facing the harbor. I was expecting more noise given the busy Ferry docks were close by, but that didn’t occur. Has both an indoor and outdoor restaurant and bar. The plus is, this is an old building and has AC and an elevator.
The hotel is right by the Riva and the location couldn’t be any better. The bathroom seems to have undergone some sort of an upgrade, at least it looks new and clean. Water is hot enough and water pressure is also good for showering. There is also a lift to the upper floors, which was useful.
The hotel felt more like a B&B. There is no “lobby” and the reception is right by the door. Room furnishings was rather old fashioned and although there is a small safe box, it didn’t work. The TV is not a smart TV (it has some setup box) and I gave up trying to turn it on to watch shows. There are no spare power outlets and I had to use the only one for the bedside lamp. Service was a hit and miss. Breakfast is a sit-down affair (not buffet type) and although there were several waiters in the morning, I gave up waving to them after 10 minutes and had to walk up to ask for just the breakfast menu. However, once you have their attention, service was fast and the food was good and filling. Although Split is generally expensive, I felt that for the price paid, the overall value for money wasn’t high.
L'emplacement est super, à côté de la gare, et du centre historique
La chambre était très sommaire, un travail sur l'éclairage serait apprécié.
It was very close to bus station, port, old square is walking distance
the staff are very rude, unbothered, breakfast was inedible - the hollandaise sauce was lumpy, one waiter even said “kitchen is not open for breakfast” and it was past 7am the breakfast time. the only person who was very helpful and kind to me was Antonio at reception). Views are nice but like many of the reviews here, not worth the amount of money you pay with the attitude most of the staff give you.
Would give it negative stars if I could. If you want to sleep in the Sahara desert, get food poisoning and eat worms for dinner from their restaurant, and have a baby crib from a managers “friend” delivered to your room after waiting 4 hours with an exhausted toddler, and have the director Stipo Gelo duck and dodge your complaints while hiding behind his hotel staff, this is the place for you! Where to start… the air conditioning only seemed to finally work after we spent one miserable night “sleeping” and after multiple request to have it looked at. The director, Stipo Gelo has to save money somehow. This cheap theme continues on, so stay tuned for more action! At their restaurant in my wife’s salad she found this nice little worm wiggling around, which definitely ruined the meal for her, but mine tasted good so we weren’t going to make a stink. I can tell you that the violent food poisoning I had that night did not taste better the second time. Not a great business idea Mr. Gelo to also make your guests violently ill in their nice “sauna” rooms. Finally, the baby crib. My wife requested that we have a crib in our room at our arrival in December of 2025, which was confirmed by email that it would be in our room and ready to go when we arrived. Our vacation was in May of 2026. You think that 6 months would be enough time to get a baby crib, but apparently not. We arrived and did not find a baby cot in our room, that ok we will just ask the front desk and get one up to the room. Front desk staff said they were on it and it would be up momentarily. We went to the famous dinner as mentioned above and came back to our room, to find no baby cot. We went back down and were told that the one they had was broken and they were going to get a new one and it would be back in no time. As many of you with young kids know, bedtime is sacred and not to be messed with. Our son was an amazing trooper who endured another 3 hours of waiting for a baby cot to finally arrive. This was also 3 hours past his bedtime, so you can imagine the thread that he was holding on by. When speaking with the night manager, Antonio, about the cot, which I had to assemble and get into the room for him because he didn’t know how to work it, he stated that he borrowed it from a friend. So now our over exhausted toddler is sleeping in some random friends heavily used baby crib. Sounds like a safety violation to me. Mr. Gelo, don’t you think that you should buy a new crib for your establishment, not get some random second hand one? Oh that is right, you are a cheapskate. I talked with the night manager about compensation for this service breakdown, asking to have our room compensated for the night. He told me that he could not do anything about that now and to talk to reception in the morning. Violently ill food poising and sauna night happens and we go down in the morning to speak with reception. We air our grievances and our need for compensation and she says the exact same thing as the night before. We ask to speak with the director and was told that Mr. Gelo would be in later that day and we could speak with him then. My wife also sends an email complaint of all our our grievances so that we have a paper trail. The response she gets is shocking and appalling. They take no responsibility or blame for the cot being broken and not having a new one for us. They then inform us that Mr. Gelo was out of town and not going to be there, and that we had our dinner from hell compensated the night before so that was our compensation. So now you are having your staff lie for you Mr. Gelo, and saying that you did something that was no where near the truth. We were not, still haven’t, and probably never will be compensated for that terrible restaurant dinner you served us. So now you see fellow travelers, the director of this horrible establishment, Mr. Gelo, is a cheap liar who hides behind his staff. Do not support this establishment at all, hotel or restaurant. Mr. Gelo, I hope you enjoy the visit from the Croatian State Inspectorate for the restaurant and the hotel
