Service

Consistently praised reception and staff across languages: described as very kind, helpful and friendly.
Location
9
Very frequently highlighted as excellent — directly opposite the train/metro station and convenient for walking to the centre, though some mention the surrounding area feels rough.
Room Quality

Mixed reports: some rooms are spacious, cosy and comfortable, but several guests mention old/deteriorated rooms, noisy or ineffective air-conditioning, saggy beds and outdated bathrooms.

A lovely stay in Budapest with a clean room, delicious breakfast and an amazing location.
Pros:

Breakfast was lovely, with a nice selection to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable, and the daily room service was excellent, keeping everything fresh and tidy. The location was amazing, making it easy to explore Budapest. Overall, we had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Baross and would happily recommend it!

Cons:

The only thing we didn't like was the main entrance. We had to wait for someone at reception to open the door every time we wanted to enter, which was sometimes inconvenient. It would be much better if the hotel introduced a key card access system so guests could enter independently without having to wait for assistance.

Pros:
