Pros:

Location is amazing, room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable and for the price it was great🙂

Cons:

Needs a little tlc in places, rooms were clean, staff were great but it is showing its age in places.

Great value for money
Pros:

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There were extra pillows and blankets if required. All of the staff that we met were friendly and helpful. Great food in the evening - would recommend the sticky toffee pudding! We have stayed here numerous times and we will definitely stay again in the future.

Perfect break
Pros:

The nicest hotel we've stayed in, the room was lovely and big, the food was excellent and the customer service from every single member of staff was over and above anywhere else we've stayed at. Can't wait to revisit.

Hotel location was ideal to visit St Bees beach. All the staff were great and very helpful.
Pros:

The staff were great. The reception staff were very helpful and assisted in changing our room type to suit us better. The hotel bar/restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great too.

Beautiful view and friendly staff
Pros:

Beautiful location, our room had a great view of beach and hills.
Very friendly pleasant staff.
We were surprised by how big our room was.
Nice big shower and bathroom.

Cons:

Looked a bit dated from outside.
There's not too much around the area, its pretty quiet. We didn't mind that. A couple of pubs in walking distance.

Great for one night stay prior to coast to coast
Pros:

Location was great - perfect for start of coast to coast. Staff were very good - accommodated a late request for evening meal and breakfast and packed lunch. Food was huge portions!

A short stay but I would come again and recommend others.

Breakfasts were good.
Overall staff very friendly and attentive. Dealt with any issues promptly and I was happy with the resolution.

Cons:

Complimentary shower gel could have replaced at greater frequency, bottles were small and used up quite quickly.

Great location for coast to coast. Bright seaside aspect. Rooms were decent, quiet, comfortable.

Cons:

Breakfast fine but a bit basic. At this price point I would expect some fruit salad, and better bread options.

Beautiful summery short stay in a relaxed location.
Pros:

Loved the food, as always, excellent service. Bar staff very pleasant and amicable. Staff were very accommodating with our seating.

Cons:

It was an extremely humid and unusually hot day and since the room had a balcony door as well as windows, at least one of them could have been opened before our arrival. It was very stuffy and unpleasant.
