Lovely place, lovely people !
When we left a jacket in the room, they phoned me up and arranged to post it to me. Great service !
A lovely old building. Two beers provided when we requested these. Our reception was very welcoming! Comfy room and excellent bathroom with a proper bath in it.
Having to climb lots of stairs to the bedrooms, with heavy cases (but we did receive some much appreciated help with this - after all, I am almost 85). There was no lift.

Friendly staff, great location, fully equipped, very comfortable bed, good breakfast.
Inside of window frames needed cleaning, cobwebs in the bathroom, I had to remove some limescale from the shower head.
The hotel is on the edge of town. Easy to walk into Bury about 15 mins. The staff were all extremely friendly and was even greeted in car park by someone who took my bags to my room. Lovely comfortable bed and nice towels. Shower was very hot although made quite a bit noise like a jet engine !! The breakfast was just lovely , couldn’t fault it.
Everything was very nice , not much not to like . My room could have had a few little things done when they emptied my bin and changed cup/saucer/glass etc like folding towels/making bed again and cleaning sink but it wasn’t a problem .
This was one of the best hotels we stayed in England. Everything was really amazing from the staff to the food and the facilities. The location was also good considering it is only a few mini walk to the main locations.

This is literally a cemetery with shrouds across the building. Dump is eating the ancient furniture and walls. Smell like hell. I requested a refund but was declined. Fraudulent!
Made to feel very welcome by Quintin, the owner, on arrival . Apartment was perfect for us; right size, well laid out, useful kitchen, large comfortable bed.
Breakfast was wonderful; great choice, freshly prepared. Have to mention friendliness and helpfulness of Natasha who was on for the weekend we were there.
Access to the car park from appartments and hotel was very easy but entrance/exit for cars was through a narrow gap between buildings. You have to take care to allign your car to get in and out. We were driving a small car so no problem but big cars may have found it trickey especially if spaces were fully occupied.
5-10 minute walk into the centre with all its history and attractions. Interesting old building; we stayed in a separate building - possibly a converted barn - in the courtyard. Very comfortable with a small kitchen. Stairs were steep, so not ideal for someone with mobility issues. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice, all freshly prepared. Helpful attentive staff. Small garden with chairs.
Everything.... lovely welcoming staff, had some interesting chats with Quinton about the area and the history behind the hotel which has been family run for many years.
We were made to feel more than just a guest.
We had a Classic Room (7) was perfect, clean and cosy. Facing the carpark...a little road noise, mostly in the morning so it wasn't an issue... even with me being a light sleeper it did not disturb us..Comfortable bed. Fans provided. love the idea of the little wall cupboard which houses crockery and the tea, coffee, biscuits, sugar etc.
Lovely breakfast cooked to order, which lots of choices hot and cold. Guests have access to a comfy lounge, a downstairs spare bathroom with shower if for any reason they are unable to use their own...also a basement kitchen area with facilities to prepare your own meals if wanted..or have a takeaway......microwave, hot plate, fridge, tableware ,table and chairs provided. This is a very clever idea for guests who don't always want to eat out. There is a wall of book shelves in the reception area for guests use.
They have thought of everything.
15 mins walk into town,so it's close enough to have access to shops and restaurants and far enough away from town traffic.
The car park can get busy if the hotel is fully occupied.
Would definately recommend and will return.
ROOM WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE, BED WAS IDEAL AND BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLANT.
