Beautiful location and staff very nice.
Room and bathroom very tired. Bathroom and shower curtain mouldy and very worn, needed replacing. Toilet seat broken and hanging to one side. Breakfast not great. Ok choice of cold buffet, but the eggs received with all four breakfasts overcooked.
Staff
Cost of meals and drinks
The food was excellent.
The room was very basic and dated the hotel is in need of improvements.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Nant Ddu is in a great location with Brecon Beacons literally on your doorstep. Restaurant food is good, too.
The place has a very tired feel to it and I had reservations about the overall cleanliness of the rooms. For example, some of the spare bedding was blood-stained and dust and cobwebs were in abundance.
it was just a normal room and settings, dinning very expenceive, having dined in other hotels for far less
pool and gym ok, but nothing at the hotel to write home about, thank you
less expenceive.
Staff very good and helpful friendly, very accommodating
The hotel a little bit dated
Beautiful location.
Hotel was everything we needed. A comfy, clean room and a delicious breakfast in the morning.
Location. Comfort
Nothing
The food was amazing
The building is totally run done.
The tiles on the floor and seat of the jacuzzi were falling off in your hand and making it very dangerous when walking on it. Someone’s sushi was left in our fridge, which had frozen to the back of the fridge. The ceiling in the dining room looked like it was going to fall in, just the whole place can do with a really good clean, dusting and a lick of paint!
Breakfast
The bathroom needed some attention, cracked tiles etc. The bar area was very basic
Beautiful location, good food, friendly staff and very good value for money.
Spa could do with renovations and furniture in room a tired, especially the bed but it was still comfortable.
Great location, lovely garden area and greenery. Ample parking. Room was clean, hot drink area with tea and coffee. Complimentary biscuits was a nice touch. It was good to have an iron and extra heaters, it did get a bit cold in the room, so it was great that we warm it up as the main radiators were off (it was June so not surprised)
There was a spa, swimming pool etc but we didn't really get a chance to use it. I'm sure it was great.
There was a slight damp smell leading up to the room. The bathroom was very basic and biggest issue was no shower. The bath tub had a hand held shower attached to the taps and no shower curtain, so it was difficult not to get water on the floor. I visit a lot of hotels and sometimes you just need a quick shower. This was designed for people who like to fill up the bath.
I also think the bath tub may have been leaking. The floor was full of water and there's no way we got that much on the floor.
I pay a lot less at Premier inns and you get a proper shower at all of them.
Lovely location. Lovely staff .
Bathroom was just a bath and a shower hose. No shower, or shower curtain - only way to “shower” was whilst holding shower hose in one hand and trying to wash hair with other hand, whilst trying not to spray water everywhere in the bathroom - Bathrooms suboptimal for the rate paid . Even just a shower curtain and a fitting to allow the hose to be used as a shower would be a cheap and simple fix!
