Chitrakatha Hotel in Jaipur is a boutique homestay with a warm, story-driven atmosphere, excellent hospitality, and a central location near Hathroi Fort. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, personalized service, and unique amenities like rooftop dining, a library, and hand‑drawn city maps.
Location and nearby atmosphere of the premise very good with neat and clean room.
Well the ambience was really nice. But the hotel itself is quite small. It may feel like a really big place in internet photos but It could be constructed in just 1500-1800sq ft area and top of that owners family lives in ground floor. Ac was not working perfectly but hotel staff fixed that. Only tea and coffee can be delivered to your room from hotel's restaurant, food- you will have to dine in 3rd floor (restaurant). Overall feel is really 👍. And pricing is good too. 4 poha's costed 900 rps🙄🥲 and was not good enough🤢
Had a great stay. Best part was the Jaipur story by Anshu. The stay is clean and the food is delicious. To top it ip they have a library and board games section at rooftop. Highly recommended.

Came to jaipur for the very first time andnme and my friends were already struggling with many things but then came this hotel and everything about our trip changed.The main reason is the owner Mr.Anshul who welcomed us and showed Jaipur through his words and that helped us start our trip on very good note.he helped us see Jaipur through his words and his own maps and This hotel will be the very reason for us to come visit this beautiful city again. If you are seeing this and came to this city for good memories then you should start your trip for here snd meet the owner snd you will not regret it. Trip went well . TOO WELL AND WE WILL VISIT AGAIN.

The property has a charming Rajasthani heritage-inspired aesthetic and offers a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were courteous and the overall environment felt comfortable for a solo traveler. The location is convenient for exploring Jaipur, and the stay provided a pleasant introduction to the city’s culture and architecture. There was a balcony attached to the room, where I could dry my clothes. Ample amount of sunlight.
One area that could be improved is transparency regarding third-party transportation and shopping recommendations. Guests may naturally place a high level of trust in drivers or service providers associated with the property. It would be helpful if the homestay clearly informed guests that transportation providers operate independently and that shopping recommendations may involve commercial arrangements. Encouraging guests to compare prices and make informed purchasing decisions would strengthen trust and enhance the overall hospitality experience.

Amar Chitra Katha was one of those places that slowly grows on you and then becomes really hard to leave.
When we first arrived, we were struck by how calm and comforting everything felt. The ambience, the rooms, and the little details around the property made it feel warm and welcoming from the start. The service was genuinely great throughout our stay, and we honestly felt that we got much more than what we paid for.
One thing I would strongly recommend is taking the time to hear the story from Ansh. What started as a simple conversation ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our stay. It gave the place so much more character and made us appreciate it in a completely different way.
Some of my favourite memories are actually the simplest ones. Every evening, my sister and I would head up to the terrace for dinner. There was something so comforting about sitting there, enjoying the breeze and the food after a long day. We got so attached to their dal, chawal and karari bhendi that we would genuinely look forward to dinner just for that. It became our little ritual during the stay.
What made this place special wasn’t just the beautiful property, but how comfortable and cared for we felt throughout our time there. By the end of the trip, it felt less like we were leaving a hotel and more like we were leaving behind a place full of good memories.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend Amar Chitra Katha to anyone looking for a stay that feels warm, personal and full of stories. ❤️

Anshu the owner is very knowledgeable of the city! Before I started exploring Jaipur, he sat down with me , drew a map of the places to visit in Jaipur, including where to try good food and gave a quick history lesson of Jaipur. He also helped arranging a tuktuk driver to take me to places and the price was reasonable. I arrived midday so he gave me an itinerary as to where to go in the afternoon. I must say i was really taken care of!
The location is amazing as well, its right next to one of the forts in Jaipur- you can see part of the wall in the balcony. The rooftop restaurant is relaxing and serves good food! Lastly, the rooms are cozy and clean.
I had such an amazing time in Jaipur thanks to the hospitality of the hotel owner and the staffs!
We stayed here as a couple for 3 days and truly enjoyed the peaceful and comfortable vibe. The stay felt very cozy, with all essential amenities in place. The breakfast was delicious and added a lovely touch to our mornings. Overall, a relaxing and memorable experience in Jaipur.

Both the room and the hotel were clean. I really liked the rooftop dining Exceptional staff...My mobile phone was lost, then an employee named Mukesh helped me and I got my mobile back..thank you Mukesh
