Hampton Inn and Suites Clearwater Beach

I loved everything about the hotel from the breakfast to the private beach and amazing pool. Front desk workers were so kind and friendly too!

The staff there were amazing very, very friendly and very, very helpful… and it was very clean. I always bring cleaning wipes with me and I didn’t even feel the need to use them :-)

Close to beach/pier. Had its own beach area and pool area. Enjoyed free breakfast.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hampton Inn Clearwater – A Huge 10/10 From Me! 🇺🇸❤️

I just wanted to share my amazing experience at the Hampton Inn in Clearwater.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Sadly, I can't remember the name of the gentleman who was on reception when we first arrived, but he was absolutely fantastic — so attentive, friendly and helpful. I will definitely try to find out his name because he deserves a special mention. I believe I also spoke to Steve, the manager, and passed on my kind regards.

In fact, every member of staff we have encountered has been lovely. The rooms are beautiful, spotlessly cleaned, with lovely towels and incredibly comfortable beds. The breakfast is, quite obviously, American — but hey, we are in America! 🇺🇸😂 It is more than sufficient, easy and convenient.

The pool area is beautiful, and we've had no problem getting sunbeds. The beach here has such a lovely, chilled-out atmosphere, and the live singers have been absolutely incredible. 🎶

And then there are the bar staff… wow! They have been amazing.

For me, this hotel is a definite 10/10. If you're looking for somewhere that is a little smaller, friendly, relaxed and chilled, where you can genuinely feel comfortable and at home, I really couldn't recommend it enough.

A massive thank you to all the staff at Hampton Inn for making our stay so enjoyable. ❤️

And I have to give another very special mention to the staff at the Cabana next door — they have been absolutely incredible too. The level of customer service has genuinely blown me away.

I came to Clearwater as an English visitor, and I will be returning to the UK with such wonderful memories. But I can honestly say my heart will always have a place for America. 🇺🇸❤️

The American people have absolutely blown me away with their friendliness, courtesy and warmth. I've loved every minute of my experience.

And I WILL be returning to this hotel! 🥰

Finally, this review comes from the perspective of someone who works in the travel industry for many years. I always try to be honest, fair and constructive when reviewing hotels and destinations — and hand on heart, I've absolutely loved every minute of my stay here.

On the beach, relaxed environment

It’s the perfect vacation spot. It’s right on the beach, breakfast is good, there are some stores within walking distance, staff is nice, and rooms are very clean. Restaurant and bar on site.

I really wanted to enjoy our stay, but unfortunately the service made it a frustrating experience.

When we arrived, the front desk was unattended, and we had to wait before anyone came to check us in. Once we were finally helped, there was no information provided about the hotel’s amenities or even how to access the beach.

Our room was also lacking basic necessities. There was only one washcloth, and the towels, sheets, and blanket were incredibly thin. Around 2:00 p.m. I called to request additional towels and linens. By 8:00 p.m. nothing had been delivered. When I tried calling the front desk again, no one answered, so I went down to the lobby—only to find the front desk unattended once again.

When someone finally arrived (without a name tag), I was met with a rude attitude and was told they were short-staffed. I was actually told that if I wanted the items sooner, I was welcome to “hire my own staff” to bring them to my room. That level of customer service was shocking.

My husband eventually went back to the front desk around midnight. This time someone was there, but instead of delivering the requested items, he was handed the linens and had to use a luggage cart to bring everything up to our room himself.

The assistant manager, Brinley, was also dismissive and unhelpful when we raised our concerns. While I understand that staffing shortages happen, they are not an excuse for poor communication, eye-rolling, or treating paying guests as though they’re an inconvenience.

The only thing this hotel seems to have in abundance is eye rolls from the front desk staff. Clearwater Beach is a wonderful destination, but unfortunately this hotel did not provide the level of hospitality I expect from a Hampton Inn.
