For the price, the convenient location did not make it value for money.
Pros:

Convenience to center and ticket office

Cons:

The Wi-Fi didn’t work. Breakfast was low quality and very limited. Bed cover was dirty.

Pros:

The room and the bed were very big and the location is good, very close to the Machu Picchu bus stop

Cons:

The room is not soundproofed at all, so you can hear everything from the main square. WiFi was not working on our floor (5th). We expected a bit more for the price paid

Pros:

Bardzo miły hotel w pobliżu wielu restauracji i sklepów, sympatyczny personel i smaczne śniadanie.

Cons:

Podczas mojego pobytu nie działało jacuzzi, ale nie było to dla mnie dużym minusem.

I'd stay there again.
Pros:

Great hotel. Good breakfast, nice staff. Always helpful. Rooms were comfortable. Glad we picked Gringo Bills.

Cons:

Lot's of stairs, but it is what it is. Also was bummed the hot tub was out while we were there due to "gas shortage". Showers were a little tricky. Sometimes we had hot water, and sometimes it was only luke warm.

Stayed one night in April 2026. The swimming pool, a prominently advertised feature, was completely empty and out of service during my stay, with no advance notice.
To their credit, the hotel acknowledged this in writing and agreed to a 30% refund. However, that's where it ended. Despite providing my bank details the same day and following up repeatedly over several weeks, the refund was never paid. The hotel asked me to resend details through multiple different channels (different bank accounts, then PayPal), then stopped responding altogether.
The room and location are fine, and the staff were polite in their messages — but an agreed refund that is promised in writing and then simply never honored is a serious issue. If you book here, be aware that advertised amenities may not be available, and don't count on compensation being followed through.

Not Concerned About Security
Pros:

Close to the train station and amenities of Aguas Calientes.

Cons:

Returned to my room after visiting Machu Pichu at 11am. My room door was left open and unlocked so anybody could have accessed our travel documents or money, especially given that there is no safe in the room. The balcony door was also unsecure and did not lock properly and could be pushed open. I raised this with the reception staff who honestly could not have cared less and didn't even apologise or seem concerned. This is not a hotel that takes security seriously and would not recommend staying here. On top of the above, there is a lot of noise from the main square just outside of the hotel so earplugs are definitely needed.

Amazing
Pros:

Everything was very good , lovely staff , the bedroom was clean , the breakfast was fresh , the room with the balcony real made the difference , it’s a very nice hotel ! I would highly recommend!
