Very comfortable accommodation in a lovely town.
Pros:

Very nice location in the heart of the town. Smallish but very comfortable room. Easy and free parking close to the hotel.

Cons:

We didn't mind the late music on Sat night but might be a problem for some!

Inexpencive stay in a beautiful village.
Pros:

The room was big, the view was nice, the town is wonderful. The hairblower and the iron and ironboard were good.

Cons:

It was difficult to flush down the toilet. There was no brekfast, they didn´t offer it.

A lovely, comfortable stay in a central location with excellent food and great staff.
Pros:

The hotel was in a great central location, which made it very convenient for exploring Helmsley. The food was amazing, and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout my stay.

Cons:

Einfacher Check-In an der Bar beim Multitaskingfähigen Barkeeper :) ein kleiner Pub im Erdgeschoss mit ein paar Tischen vor dem Haus direkt am Marktplatz. Wir haben auf der Parallelstraße tatsächlich einen guten Parkplatz ( umsonst) gefunden. Es war Markttag bei unserer Anreise und alles ziemlich schmuddelig, aber dafür kann ja das Hotel nichts. Dieses Gebäude ist alt und die Zimmer waren klein aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Die Wände waren sehr dünn und ich konnte die Aktivitäten im Nachbarzimmer leider für eine Stunde nicht ausblenden. Ansonsten war es nachts super ruhig im Ort. Der Ort ist hübsch und man kann schön spazieren gehen. Das Pub Essen war okay.

Guy at the bar who welcomed us was friendly in the evening. Position is great.

Cons:

Dust on the kettles in our room. Smoke coming up from people smoking outside the front door from the bar. Woman who cleaned in the morning was very unhelpful about where one could park without paying in the morning after 9am - I foudn out there were numerous roads just out of the main square. She made us feel unwelcome. She was the only staff member around in the morning and very rude and unfriendly.

Good location, parking expensive, beds old and very soft.

Location is good but parking is expensive and a problem.

Cons:

Twin beds were very soft and bases very old and torn. Food was very poor with instant mash with the steak pie and the scampi and chips were straight from a iceland bag it seemed.
