Smoker hotel close to the railway station
Pros:

Convenient location near the railway station, reasonable price, big water dispenser in the room, phenomenal bathroom if you're lucky. The rooms vary a lot in size and furnishing, but with some luck you can get one of the "deluxe" rooms with a big table and a huge bathroom with bathtub.

Cons:

Unbeknownst to me, this hotel is aimed at a certain "clientele" who only need to rent a room for a few hours - it is what it is, but that's not my main issue with it. The actual issue is that this certain clientele are all heavy smokers and the hotel tolerates these people smoking in the rooms even though officially smoking is forbidden. It's a very old building with an ancient central air conditioning and venting system which connects all rooms on a floor. The smokers all smoke into the air vents to avoid the smoke detectors, which means that the smoke is pumped into all neighboring rooms by the aircon. After complaining, the staff can remove the smoke smell with some ozone machine for a while, but of course it comes back once some low-life shmuck in a neighboring room starts smoking again. If you can't tolerate a permanent background of "old stinky pub smell", better stay away.

離開當天，因颱風關係一早雨勢超大，正愁惱之際，值班人員非常熱心，擔心我們鞋子、行李箱打濕，特地為我們送上塑膠袋，套行李箱及鞋子，還特別叮嚀我們天雨路滑行走要小心，她的關懷讓我們滿心溫暖。謝謝！
