Pros:

Location and staff and overall a decent stay

Cons:

The room door wouldn't lock and had to wait while someone reprogrammed the lock.
Parking was a problem a few of the days. No open spaces and you still get charged $10 a day to park

Unsanitary conditions
Pros:

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this beachfront hotel. While the location was beautiful, the condition of the room completely ruined the experience.
The room had a strong musty odor from the moment we walked in, making it feel damp and unclean. To make matters worse, we found roaches in the room, which is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel, especially one charging premium beach rates.
The shower was another major issue. The water pressure was so low that taking a shower was frustrating and took much longer than it should have.
The beach location is the only reason I'm giving any stars at all. Management needs to address the cleanliness, pest control, and maintenance issues immediately. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to others.

Pros:

Location was great especially the proximity to the ocean and midway. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

Very difficult to open sliding door in room.
No bath soap or spare toilet paper was in room when we checked in. Front desk gave me some immediately but I shouldn't have to go get it especially if cleaning crew only comes every other day. Rubber gasket under door needs repair. I had to move it around so I could open door. Nothing left at coffee station to stir coffee and no way to heat up coffee in the afternoon.
I don't like that the beach chair/umbrella rental company takes all the prime spots first thing every morning and many times no one even rents or uses the chair.
A handicap bar near the toilet would be nice.

If I was staying longer, I think I probably would’ve left early
Pros:

I loved the fact that it’s oceanfront that is if you get an ocean front room like I did

Cons:

The carpet in the hallways seem dated and definitely my bedroom was dated. The beds felt like I was sleeping on a rock not comfortable at all. The curtains had holes in them and part of them didn’t even work.

Jill at breakfast is a rock star.
Pros:

Oceanfront hotel - on boardwalk with great breakfast, tikki bar and pool. Very family friendly and clean. Jill in breakfast made our trip. She remembers our family by name and makes us feel so welcome. It is so nice to see the same faces each year we return.
