The only thing that was decent for the price was the location. Even though it’s advertised “oceanfront” it’s a street across with multiple locations in between.

It was mediocre at best. But most importantly the unprofessional and negligent management. I paid for my stay which was one night upon arriving to the locations(hence the reason I was given not only key cards but welcome gifts) but when checking out the lady attempted to charge not one but two of my cards before telling me that “your card was declined” the night prior when I paid for it, disregarding the proof of transaction I showed her and acknowledging it was their POS(point of sale) system that was having the issue and then threatened to call the cops on me for whatever reason alongside her nasty attitude and threats i decided to walk away.

Loved it,very Spoiled...Everything was perfect...loved the welcome last name entrance..all kitchen,dishwasher,fridge all kitchen was helpful...

I didn't like the part that, I had to go back in forth reminding them with the towels and toilet paper,and Instructions weren't followed when I booked ,I requested this information ahead of advance..Especially on the linen for the sofa bed...But loved the food,beds fresh lotion,shampoo..Communication of the text of the greeting of the 1st day I checked in..very helpful...low service on wifi, why charge if all other hotels is free.

All and All it was a very nice stay and we well stay there again!
Pros:

The breakfast was good, the location was very good. Great view of the ocean, easy access to all the attractions in Galvestion and the restaurants and the beach!

Cons:

The only complaint we had was the couch was a little broken down you sank all the way down and you could feet the springs!

Horrible Rooms
Pros:

Visited Galveston for our anniversary. Decided to stay at Homewood Suites, given past visits at other Homewood Suites properties across the country. However, the interior condition of the hotel rooms, where you put your body to rest, is horrible!! Furniture is worn out, most of it heavily stained, the carpet in all the hallways are visibly dirty and need cleaning, a light fixture cover over the table area in our room was missing for our entire stay, and worst of all, a dirty bloody stained coverlet was left or used on our bed, after being moved to this room by management due to heavily stained furniture in our first room. Totally disgusting! The hotel has easy access to public beach, restaurants, and historic district that motivated us to book there. But given what we have seen and know now, we would never book there again! Only compensation given was when we checked out and at my asking for consideration. The clerk supposedly refunded the $75 parking fee (but it hasn’t processed with my credit card company yet). The single bright spot in this situation was in meeting Tatiana who was the night front desk clerk, who assisted our check-in upon arrival. She was aware of the many issues we encountered during our stay, assisted in every way she could, and informed management with pictures we sent. We never got a call from the manager. This alone speaks volumes!! However, Tatiana did all she could to improve situations and make our stay better, to include apologizing for what we encountered since arriving to the hotel. I give this hotel a 1, and here are pictures of what we saw. You decide if a place you want to stay!!

Definitely coming back!
Pros:

Spacious rooms, great free breakfast, great location (even though I was thinking seaside was on the beach but you have to walk across a busy road and about 5 minutes to the actual water), super friendly staff, the room fit everything we could have wished.

Cons:

Check in was a bit long but it was due to a lack of staff that day to clean rooms and get guests into their room. Front desk was great to help us out here though.
