Location, location, location! 100 metres from Piazza della Signoria, wow! Spotless apartment, no views but the windows opened for air, great. Wonderful shower, if tight for bigger, older folk. I flooded the bathroom because the top switch was for the horizontal jets, not the top shower spray, good fun. Staff were very helpful and responded to requests. Beds very comfortable. It is not a hotel by my understanding, however, I would have no problem returning or recommending anybody else, when knowing the limitations. Loved it.

Staff was very friendly. Located in the old historic part of Firenze, close to important sites. Bathroom was very modern for an old building retrofit.
Elevator had to be accessed after climbing an initial flight of stairs. This was not a problem for us but potential renters should know. The owner/manager did carry our suitcases down the stairs and I'm sure they would have helped us out on arrival if we requested. Given the old, historic building, it was impossible to have the elevator at ground level. This is not a complaint, just so other travelers are aware ahead of arrival.

I had a wonderful stay at Renaissance Florence Hotel. The location is perfect very central and within walking distance to all the major sightseeing spots.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall, everything about this hotel was excellent, and I would definitely stay here again.
The best description is "charming". It is tough to beat the location. The room was spacious and clean with numerous amenities. The front desk was helpful, but isn't manned overnight.
You have to ascend a narrow flight of stairs to get to a slow, tiny elevator with a poorly place emergency stop button which could easily be hit accidentally. Whether you have just arrived with luggage or have just climbed the Duomo, those stairs can feel like a barrier on arrival.
