The location and the staff
The pillows were too hard
Sheets and towels were a light brown dirty colour,mould and soap scum in bathroom disgusting and noise from the bar across the road was very loud

Good location
I've stayed at this property for years when it was Zest. Once it changed management to Palette unfortunately it will be my last stay here. Poor service, too many things went wrong time and time again. There are many other options in Legian at the same price point that are far better. Try looking at other properties would be my recommendation if you're planning on staying in Legian.
Great value hotel stayed for 14 nights in excellent location of legian great restaurant choices and the beach a short walk away staff are very friendly and helpful room was clean and comfortable not a huge room but who lives in there room when on holidays. Roof top pool is cool.
The people at reception was always helpful and tried to accommodate our request for change of rooms.
The property was not clean and the linen was dirty and had holes in the bedding as well as the bath towels. Air conditioning was subpar.
It was very central for shopping, restaurants/bars and the beach and the rooftop pool was lovely
The restaurant/bar ran out of Bintang early in the evening and they kept getting our orders wrong

Rooms smell like mould bathroom dirty, taps and hoses rusty. Only stayed for 1 night wouldn’t stay anymore than that.
Only good thing was location central to everywhere.
Breakfast was average
The best thing about this property is the location.
Booked and paid for a room with a balcony and once checked in and handed the keys we got to our room and all we had was a window with a view to a balcony with no access. We only booked this hotel so we could have a shower before our flight home. I went down to the desk and mentioned we had paid for a room with a balcony and only then did the guy on the front desk tell us there were none available. I told him that we should not have been able to book the room if it wasn’t available and he could have at least mentioned it to us when handing us the key. He told me they would refund 150,000rp however he later told us that the management denied this request so they kept our money and did nothing to rectify the issue.
Bathrooms are absolutely filthy and could do with some bleach and a scrub. Pool area old and furniture looks like it’s been handed down 17 generations. Sat at the restaurant to have a meal for lunch and the girl behind the bar gave us a smile and looked back at whatever she was doing only one other person seated and we left after 10 minutes to eat elsewhere)

The staff were great, breakfast had a good selection. Ask for a room away from the street noise.
The rooms could do with a coat of paint and new wall paper which was peeling.The pool on the roof could do with some cover, the water was warm. For the price it was ok.
The rooftop pool is large and has lounges and umbrellas. It is clean. I didn't use it this time but have many times in the past. It's a great location not far from the beach plenty of shop and restaurants around. The staff are always friendly. Even though it needs maintenance it is still good value for money and we love the location.
I have stayed here from the opening of this hotel (formerly ZEST) and it is gradually declining. The beds are saggy. The aircon did not work well. The staff did offer me another room. Showers need deep cleaning and drains need cleaning (don't drain properly). Breakfast is adequate. Coffee not so good and juice is like cordial. The towels have been dyed grey , a good idea as before there were obviously washed in poor quality water like the sheets and were grey.

Fue demasiado desagradable llegar y ver que estaba demasiado sucio el baño, los espejos del baño salpicados, la ducha de vidrio estaba muy sucia, con partes negras en las esquinas, hasta la puerta del baño estaba sucia, se notaba que no se limpiaba hace mucho. Y otras partes de la habitación que no era agradable ni de tocar.
Mucho por mejorar.
Se escuchaba demasiado el ruido de la calle y de los pasillos.
