La ubicación es perfecta, está a menos de 5min de la estación Trindade y está cerca de muchos sitios. Tiene un supermercado super cerca, junto con cafeterías y restaurantes. Estaba muy limpio y la relación calidad-precio es muy buena.
La limpieza y reposición diaria de agua se agradecen mucho!
Si vuelvo a Oporto, repetiría sin duda!

Cons:

Sería genial que tuviera un microondas y un minibar ya que no tienes donde calentar comids cuando quieres picar algo en la noche ni mantener las bebidas frescas sobretodo en primavera o verano.

A pleasant stay in a historic building, in a very interesting city worth visiting.
Pros:

The best thing about the  Rex Hotel is the building itself. It’s absolutely amazing - a grand, nineteenth century house, even a palace, built for wealthy Porto merchants. The ceiling in our room was made up of elaborate plasterwork and paintwork, including portraits of some of its original owners. Really spectacular! /see picture/ It was also a huge room - and the ceiling was probably about five metres high. Not sure how many of the rooms on offer are this special, though. The ceilings of the reception, staircase and breakfast were almost as impressive - really beautiful. The staff were also absolutely lovely.

Cons:

Downside - it is much further away from the historic centre than you’d think, about a half hour walk, although the area itself, where it is, is  perfectly pleasant, with nice bars and little restaurants. Sadly, the hotel also felt quite neglected. Our bathroom was nice, but the carpet in our room was really dirty and stained, and the room was very smelly when we first entered it. Breakfast as well was a let down, could have done with even a boiled egg, or some sort of warm option for the price. You get the feeling someone could make an awful lot more out of this beautiful building. Hope someone does that, because it could be an absolute stunner.
