Property Description

The Stag at Stow offers Cotswold accommodation in an old coaching inn and a restored Georgian townhouse (the Lodge) in the main square of Stow-on-the-Wold. Each bedroom is individually decorated and has its own bathroom, shower or wet room. Gastro pub with open fires, restaurant and al-fresco dining.

Important information:

Please note the bar and restaurant are closed from 18:00 on 24 December and on 25 December. Breakfast, reception and housekeeping services will also not be available on 25 December.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Pros:

The STAG room was incredible - really beautiful room and the separate bath was an added bonus. Staff at reception were really help. View onto the main street was lovely too.

Cons:

Walking up the steps back to the bar didn't have a mind your head sign and unfortunately my partner hit his head quite badly, would be good to have them both sides.
Having water in the room may be preferable so you don't have to leave the room to grab from the communal fridge.

Pros:

We had a fantastic stay at the stag at stow. Our room was comfortable and cozy. It was also a really good location, next to essentials like a grocery store and chemist, and great base to access all towns in the Cotswolds.

Pros:

A lovely old hotel, Anna especially was terrific and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent food. Bed was comfortable.

Fine, but disappointing. Breakfast took ages & arrived about 20 mins apart.

Staff were not very friendly, room was cold with no heating, window didn’t close so rattled. Bed against the wall so a bit squashed.
