Pros:

L’hôtel est magnifique, très bien placé on pouvait aller aux monuments à pied sans problème. La chambre était grande, le lit est confortable et la douche bien spacieuse .Le petit déjeuner était parfait, beaucoup de choix et tout était bon. L’hôtel est très propre. Le personnel est super gentil surtout Martina à la réception qui s’est très bien occupé de nous pendant le séjour.

Very fine choice for central, easy location.
Pros:

Though located on a busy street, I will point out that the soundproofing is very effective. Quiet, cheerful rooms. Have stayed in several rooms in this hotel before and would not hesitate to stay again. The rooftop is a great place to unwind.

Martis Palace Makes Me Want To Return To Rome
Pros:

Comfort.Style.Location.Courteous and Responsive Staff. We started our European trip in Rome, and our first hotel was Martis Palace. This hotel set the standard for the hotels to follow, as the hotel, location, breakfast, and staff were excellent. I can't say enough about how responsive the staff was before and during our stay. They had answers for all the questions and concerns and options we wanted to pursue. Get the breakfast package so you don't need to figure out that part of your day. Steps from Piazza Navona, and other main attractions are walkable from this hotel. A remarkable hotel, location, and staff. What a great start to our trip through Rome, Florence, Paris and London.

Perfektes Hotel für ein Romwochenende
Pros:

Super freundliches Personal. Perfekte Lage. Mega Dachterrasse (leider war diese einen Abend privatisiert) - wir haben sie trotzdem ausgiebig nutzen können. Frühstücksbuffett räumlich etwas beengt, Angebot ist sehr vielfältig.

Not sure I was at the same place as the other reviews…
Pros:

Actually I almost wasn’t. As soon as I got to the hotel they wanted to move me to a different hotel. I was kind of caught off guard because I didn’t know much about this other place. I asked if it would be the same price and they told me of course- a quick search of the pricing of the two hotels showed Martis Palace higher, and considerably so on some dates, so I declined. I left my phone number and headed out for a few hours. After not receiving a call by 3 pm I came back and was told my room was indeed ready. Unfortunately it was not the room I booked.

If you ignore the other parts of my review at least take something from this write up- try to avoid booking the lowest level room. I hadn’t booked it either, but I got it and it was very very small. I quickly checked the pictures on the website and saw this didn’t match what I booked. I headed back down to the front desk and saw an old man had replaced the woman that originally checked me in. I thought he might be more helpful, but it was the complete opposite. He told me I should stay in that room because I was only there one night. Then he started to say even if he wanted to move me (he didn’t) he couldn’t really do much. I wasn’t having any of that and got a new room- what a difference! I see good reviews on service but this guy was just terrible. I never saw him look up or greet a customer as they walked by the desk.

Two stars instead of one because it has a great location and the young woman at check out was much better than what I experienced the day before. I gave the hotel a chance to respond to me personally (not potentially make excuses in response to an online review) by filling out the survey after the stay but didn’t hear anything back.
