Felix Hotels - Hotel Residence Porto San Paolo

The hotel is very nice and clean, the pool area is lovely and the breakfast is great. The location is really convenient. Only 20 mins drive from the airport and a 10/15 minute walk to the beach with bars and restaurants along the way.
Special thanks to Katerina, she was working breakfasts and then in the pool bar all day. She was working very hard and she gave us a fabulous service.

Lovely hotel & staff. Beds extremely comfortable! Very clean & good breakfast. Roof top pool & bar lovely but lack of shade made it difficult to spend much time up there in the month of June. Good location near shops & pharmacy and only a 10/15 minute walk to beach. A lovely first time visit to Sardinia.

Good Stuff: Huge bed, rooms at the back of the hotel are very quiet, great and helpful staff, location - 15 minutes from the airport, close to other towns and beaches but you'll need a car, right in the middle of town, great coffee shops and nearby restaurants, only 10 min walk to the beach, nobody 'reserving' deckchairs by the pool.

Not so good stuff:
Design - The whole hotel is white with minimalist designs/paintings etc - it feels very cold and clinical - no character at all about the place
Rooms - don't get one at the front of the hotel - its on a busy main road so very noisy if you want to relax on a balcony.
Checking Out: We had 5 hours from checkout time (1100-1600) to when we needed to get our flight - we offered 100 Euros to keep it for a few hours - the receptionist was told to LIE to us that the hotel was fully booked and they needed the room. We found availability on 2 hotel sites and Felix's own booking site that there was availability for that night!! The receptionist was being told to lie by management as she was unable to make the decision on her own and needed to talk to management. Disgusting!!
Overpriced: The hotel is completely over-priced for what it is.
Breakfast - the coffee is terrible and there are much better and cheaper local cafe's literally across the road. Also definitely don't pay for half board - there are lots of cheap, reasonable and good restaurants nearby.

Fab rooftop top to chill out at. Gorgeous views from the rooftop.
Comfy beds and spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast too!
Cute little restaurants and cafes nearby.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic. They couldn't do enough to make our stay as good as it was. They helped organise taxis, cleaned our rooms to a treat standard and were quick to take orders for breakfast. The rooms were minimalistic but very clean, comfortable and spacious. The beds were very comfortable as well. For breakfast there was a great array of pastries, fruits, yogurts, cereals, and hot food (bacon and eggs). I was really impressed with the coffee, cappuccino and lattes were fantastic. Around the hotel were plenty of shops to explore and great places to eat. The pizzeria around the corner was exceptional. I'd definitely recommend this place to visit and would happily stay again.

All staff were welcoming, friendly and happy to help. Fantastic view of Tavalora island from the lovely sundeck and pool area. Snacks and drinks were available from the pool bar area.

We stayed in a second floor room which was equipped with a small kitchen area, fantastic balcony with great views and it was fun to watch the nesting Housemartin's at this time of year. The bed was so comfortable the best nights sleep I've had in a hotel. The room and all common areas of the hotel were kept spotlessly clean by hardworking staff.

The restaurant manager and staff were efficient and happy to explain the menu where needed. The food was excellent on our 2 visits, commendations to the chef.

Its a good place to explore the North of the island but a car is essential. There are several sandy beaches within walking distance lapped by turquoise waters.

Having visited in early May we felt the resort hadn't fully opened and was very quiet, however I'm sure this would be much busier in high season July /August.

Gelungener Aufenthalt als Abschluss der Sardinienrundreise. Extrem bequeme Betten und ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstücksbuffet, Pries - Leistungsverhältnis sehr in Ordnung, gute Lage des Hotels mit öffentlicher Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Haus.
