Cons:

No extension to the laundry.. everytime you have to co tact the front desk to transfer you to the laundry and handling such calls is not upto standards. Everytime u need to move from ur room to the main building and the lobby especially when u have little kids you have to contact again the front desk to send you the golf cart.. they are not responsive if you r going there especially in the weekends.

Check in although we arrive at 2:00 pm was at 3.30pm and this is with contnious follow ups and envolvement of front desk manager

Great
Pros:

The golf course is one of the best courses I’ve ever been to. It’s a hidden gem and I think it needs more global marketing to get more people in. The staff were very kind and respectful. The golf coach Ahmed Nagy was fantastic and really helped me improve my game.

Cons:

The water pressure in the shower was too low and the temperature is not good. It becomes cold and then extremely hot.

Golfing at Katameya Dunes Golf Club Cairo
Pros:

I played 18 hole golf on Palm course, took golf cart , Rental clubs , green fees all in 150 USD. The staff was very welcoming and exchanged the rental club when I asked that I need stiff flex driver. The grips were very bad , luckily I had my leather glove.
The course was amazing , trimmed fairways , smooth rolling greens , the hazards and bunkers were maintained. The back nine was bit challenging with 4 greens around water ponds. Lost my two balls as well.
The overall experience was 9/10.

A total lack of regard . . .
Pros:

. . . for my health and welfare. Staff prepared to argue/correct you if anyone has a complaint. I became ill having eaten an evening meal and thank goodness I had packed medication for such an event, as was able to self-medicate. I tried to call room service as confined to my room; I needed bottles of water, towels etc but was passed from person to person with them suddenly unable to understand English. We had an unpleasant experience in one of the their restaurants that evening choosing to have our following three nights’ suppers brought to our room. Aloof, superior staff in suits; eventually the Head of Food and Beverages came to speak to us as my daughter complained, as the ‘final straw’ was eggs served at breakfast which had gone off. Fruit and sweet treats were sent to our room, but too little too late. We were hardly spoken to upon arrival whilst others welcomed like ‘long lost friends’; we didn’t enjoy our stay and said that we wouldn’t return upon checkout so this review shouldn’t be a surprise to them.

Excellent choice for New Cairo
Pros:

Open space - golf course view - palm trees - covered verandas and terraces - multiple restaurants - good service

Cons:

Only one comment was that service at Dunes Bar was slow
