Great value near central Sandton.
Pros:

The one bedroom suite is the best value in the Sandton area and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Excellent breakfast ( fantastic barista) and a great location for accessing central Sandton.

Nice stay
Pros:

- Very friendly front desk staff esp Daniela, Jessica etc.
- The shuttle drivers also were very friendly and assisted whenever I needed a pick-up or drop off nearby.
- Location is convenient and not far away from Mandela Square and Sandton Mall.
- The bed/mattress and pillows were very comfortable and allowed for nice and relaxing sleep overnight.

Cons:

- A bit of an unpleasant experience in the hotel restaurant for dinner on my first night when for some unknown reason, I was constantly overlooked/ignored by the waiters until I called them after 30 min. Guests who came after me were quickly served/attended to, but not me. Even after placing my order (vegetarian side items), the food took a very long time to come to me. They later apologized when I complained and I was offered a fruit plate as 'compensation'.
- The gym is a bit small to accommodate more than 3 people training at once.
- Water bottles in the gym are not refilled/replaced in a timely manner.

Pros:

The property was clean ,convenient,close to exclusive Restaurants,I’ve loved 🥰 every minute of our stay Southern Sun Hotel,it is the best hotel in the area.

Cons:

What I didn’t like was the breakfast on our second day .
We booked breakfast Buffy but to our surprise 🤷🏻‍♀️we had to place an order that took like forever,we nearly missed our next appointment,that was not really nice and the Restaurant manager was rude when I explained that I’m already running late if maybe i could take the breakfast with me 🙏

Pros:

We went to Johannesburg for a family trip and the location was an excellent one for moving around to our main activities..the shuttle helped a lot..Friendly staff clean and comfortable rooms and the breakfast was very nice..would definitely come back again.

Cons:

The only issue was getting downstairs with the heavy luggage upon departure .
