Just fair. No proper WiFi - it doesn't reach some rooms well. Carpets are a danger to health. OTiles

Amazing EVERYTHING!
Pros:

Rose and Frank were so helpful and welcoming upon my arrival and during my entire stay. Rose helped me with taxis and recommendations and Frank helped me with converting money and other recommendations for my time in Maputo. The room was relaxing and beautiful. I got the room overlooking the ocean and pool and it was exactly what I needed. Relaxing tub and amazing hot and firm water pressure for the shower. Free breakfast was amazing and the dinner - around $50 pp was also amazing. The meat options and variety were extraordinary. If I’m ever in Maputo again I’ll stay here. I stayed at the Southern Sun in OR TAMBO which is why I chose the one in Maputo. Definitely a great hotel chain.

Is still a good place to visit, we will come again

Cons:

The aircon only give out cold air, the room was very cold as in winter. Called reception only to be told that all Aircon’s in the hotel are only cold air . We were give extra blankets

Podia ter sido muito agradável, não fosse a política do hotel, muito desagradável!
Pros:

Gostei muito da localização, da estrutura do hotel e dos trabalhadores, sempre muito simpáticos, humildes, mas corretos e profissionais.

Cons:

Da política do Hotel. Parece não confiar nos clientes, está sempre atrás do cliente para pagar, mas pouco eficiente quando se trata de devolver os trocos. Prefere guardar o dinheiro do cliente o maior tempo que puder, a correr o risco de emprestar um adaptador ao cliente. Exige 10 euros de depósito. Exige depósito para se poder fazer as refeições no hotel, mesmo quando sabe que o hóspede tem uma estadia longa, de 9 dias. Náo tem serviço de frigobar, mesmo saabendo que não ha comercio nas redondezas. Achei a politica de gestão muito antipática. Mesmo nada africano.

The location was nice

Cons:

1. The system failure at the hotel which caused payment problems, and when I came back to pay at the reception they also told me there was a problem with payment and told me to come back. The next day when I ate breakfast they were hunting me like a criminal even though I told them to put it on the room (they knew my room number)
2. I guess this is maybe normal for Mozambique, but the staff coming up 2 to 3 times mid - meal (I'm obviously eating and there if food on my plate) they would try and take away my plate after sitting down for 30mins. Why could you not wait until I was finished? There were so many seats left...
3. Upon check out they also tried to charge me for my free breakfast and had to wait 30mins... So much payment issues
