Wonderful! Daniel was great.
Terrel was super friendly and great to chat to and fab service! Thank you!
Let's start with valet service 1st Daniel Thornton, I had to get his name. This gentleman showed the best southern decorum when he approached to service me at the valet service. I mean I was at an awe of the respect Daniel Thornton provided. Customer service is at an low these days. I just want to say thanks Daniel Thornton and staff for the service you provided at this hotel. The hotel staff was nice, clean kinda had a new York southern touch by being on the corner. The rooms were beautiful, housekeeping service was great. I'm still stuck on the valet service from Daniel Thornton. 10/10 thumbs up.
Daniel was an awesome experience! He's so professional and charming. Daniel also explained everything clearly to where my checking in process went smooth. Daniel was so clean in his uniform and my wife kept telling me how good he smelled and looked! Daniel also helped us with all our luggage and walked us to the door, Daniel's hands were full and still managed to open the door for my family. My kids have been talking about Daniel since we left. Daniel is a complete gentleman and a great asset to the Hotel.
Overall, I'd recommend staying here. Just be sure to have other food options in mind, as the on-site dining is fairly limited.
The snack area had a very small selection. The Yard was enjoyable, but its hours were limited. The rooftop offered beautiful views, but the service left a lot to be desired. It was advertised to open at 4:00 PM, but the doors remained locked past opening time, and once they did open, we were told the kitchen couldn't serve food for another hour because the oven was still heating up.
On the positive side, the valet service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and one of the highlights of our stay.
Terrell’s super helpful and quick with the car!!
The hotel was beautiful overall, the staff was very nice an accommodating.
We had to move rooms 3 times. First room has issues with the AC. Second room had mold growing on the drywall above the shower. Third room was great, but was very inconvenient to have to move all of our stuff to 3 different rooms. The area was not great, lots of homeless in the area. Not the safest for walking around. Valet was very expensive and there was really no other option for parking.
Terrell did a wonderful job welcoming and assisting with valet!
We absolutely love coming to Birmingham! Work brings us to town quite often! We stayed in a King room for 4 nights. The hotel is centered around some of the best restaurants in town. Conveniently located, not far from the airport or I20.
We can always count on the amazing staff at The Elyton to make us feel right at home! A special shout out to Alexis, who kept our room tidy and well stocked; and Terrell, who made sure our car was taken care of when needed. We look forward to our stay several times a month.
Incredible experience!! The entire staff was so welcoming and accommodating. Not to mention, GORGEOUS hotel— clean, well-decorated, and totally photo-worthy. One of the highlights in service was absolutely Lee the valet, he was wonderful!!
Valet w Lee was great. Tara at check in was great. Entire restaurant and food was wonderful!
I enjoyed my stay on a business trip, and Terrell Nettles was a great valet. Zero wait and professional!
My wife and I spent one night at the Elyton in the course of a road trip. The hotel appears to be in a nicely re-purposed building. We were upgraded to a corner room, which was comfortable enough. The hotel staff was friendly. We inadvertently left something behind when we checked out, and the front desk staff was extremely helpful arranging to send it to us. There are several very nice restaurants within a block or two of the hotel. The Civil Rights Institute, which is a must, is about a fifteen minute walk, as is the art museum. Overall, the hotel was a good choice for us.
Wonderful smell at atmosphere here. The valet stephen is great at his job
Everything!
Nothing at all
Work stayed at the hotel for a business trip and it was an excellent choice super convenient location and a good gym. A bonus for the super responsive and helpful valet -/ shout out to Stephen, Terrell, and Dameria for dealing with us coming in and out so many times!!
My husband and I came to visit moonshine! We had a lovely time. Stephen was a wonderful and kind valet
Terrell was incredible helpful, responsive and respectful. Wonderful experience!
Never ate brfeakfast. It was expensive and the staff were not very helpful.
staff was not attentive and it was difficult to tell how you got any service
It was very unique.
The staff at the Moonshine Bar wouldn’t tell you the price on the drinks before you were charged, they also will allow others to charge and close out your tabs, they were not prepared for the volume of people with adequate supplies like alcohol or food.
The housekeepers would come knock on your door an hour and a half before checkout time and then come every 30 minutes after you have told them that you would be checking out by 11:00 a.m which was the checkout time.
The AC in the room would not keep the room cool at night.
