Lovely room in great location with balcony. Was worried when I saw we overlooked the main throughfare for noise but needn't have worried - double glazed doors kept all the noise out. Optional breakfast was great, lots of choice and variety. Beds were very comfy and air con worked to cool down the room.
Only the layout of the hotel - shares building with other business and set over several floors. Main door to our corridor had sign saying do not close so did feel a little unsafe. (visitors do not have to walk past reception to get to rooms)
Petit déjeuner très agréable
L’ampiezza della camera e la posizione
Niente
Hotel molto ben arredato in posizione centrale. Personale molto gentile e colazione ottima con prodotti freschi e locali.
Nulla
The location near Genoa Bignole station and Via XX September was excellent as we arrived and departed by train. The receptionist tried her best. The room was clean.
We chose a hotel over an apartment because of security and access to staff, there was no security.
The hotel is three floors of a nine storey building. The lower floors are businesses and the upper floors private accommodation. There is a central staircase and lift. The front door onto a major street is open all day and provides easy access to the stairs and lift. The doors to the hotel floors are also open. At night the doors are locked with a code which is publicly available and appears not to have been changed since 2023! It relies on people shutting the door which in our experience did not happen. We expected a hotel to be secure. Having said that there were no problems.
Reception is not 24hours and they do not answer the phone. On a Saturday night the internet and hotwater service did not operate.
The double bed was two singles put together with no attempt to fill the gap.
