Une nuit pour la visite du site mais tout était conforme aux descriptions. Bel endroit.

Pros:

The location is exceptional, the bird life around the lake is fab and we saw elephants (through binoculars) on the opposite bank. It's peaceful and I loved looking at the lake with my coffee first thing in the morning.
Close to the ancient city site and handy for a minneriya safari.
Comfortable, slightly rustic rooms (we were in a huge triple room over looking the lake)
There is a pool which is a great addition.
Absolute value for money with great staff.

Pros:

Chambre spacieuse et propre, bonne literie.
Personnel très agréable. Nous avons fait une balade sur le lac, un safari et loué des vélos pour visiter Polonnaruwa en passant par eux.
Le petit déjeuner est très complet et le rice and curry le soir, délicieux et très varié.
Mais surtout ce que nous avons aimé, c'est cette ambiance de bout du monde avec ce jardin et cette piscine donnant sur le lac et effectivement tous ces oiseaux, que certains n'ont pas aimés, mais qui ajoutent au charme et à l'atmosphère si particulière du lieu. Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour !

velmi krásný výhled, úžasné jídlo a velmi prijemny personal

Cons:

byka slabá klimatizace a vybaveni pokoje bylo mininalni - nebyl zde trezor ani tv.

Natascha maakt dit familiehotel helemaal af! Wat een prachtige plek aan het meer waar varanen aan land komen en aan de overkant zagen we een groep olifanten in hun natuurlijke habitat.
Heerlijk ontbijt en curries!!
Een prachtig ruim zwembad. Al met al een heerlijke plek om tot ontspanning te komen.

Prachtige plek, aanrader
Pros:

Prachtige plek midden in de natuur. Aan de overkant zagen we in de middag en ochten olifanten. Als je geluk hebt komen ze voor de deur. Mooie kamers, prachtig uitxicht. Kamer was niet stil, maar dat komt door de enorme hoeveelheid kraaien, dus geluid was puur natuur geen auto's. Lekker zwembad. Eten zowel in de avond als ontbijt was goed. Lunch pakketje besteld voor onderweg in de taxi. Taxi voor 5 personen niet te vinden, gelukkig schoot het hotel te hulp en regelde vervoer. Echt een aanrader.

Pros:

Je voyage souvent entre de grands hôtels et aussi dans des Guesthouse house mais le service est digne d’un 5 étoiles. On cherche à rendre votre séjour des plus agréable en répondant à vos demandes de manière honnête et bienveillante. Je crois que c’est le meilleur service que j’ai été amené à rencontrer après quelques années de voyage en Asie. Un immense merci.

Wunderschönes Naturerlebnis!
Pros:

Die Aussicht auf den See und der Garten mit den vielen Vögeln ist wunderschön. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Das WLAN war extrem schlecht, wir hatten zum Glück Mobile Daten auf dem Handy. Das Hotel liegt auch extrem außerhalb.

Vergaande glorie en overal kraaien poep
Pros:

Het uitzicht was mooi. Het personeel is vriendelijk.

Cons:

Het was niet hygiënisch. Onze kamer was vies toen we aankwamen, overal aarde op de grond en schimmel in de douche. Daarnaast lekte de airco waardoor er een plas water naast het bed ontstond. Verder was de kamer wel lekker ruim.

Buiten was pas waar het echt flink tegenviel. Er zijn enorm veel kraaien waardoor je niet fijn buiten kan zitten. Er ligt op het gehele buiten terrein vogelpoep, ook op de zwembad randen en dus waarschijnlijk ook deels in het zwembad. Daarnaast poepen de kraaien ook op de bedjes terwijl je er ligt! Extreem vies dus… Om het nog af te maken lag er ook poep op mijn placemat in het restaurant. Het ziet er op de foto’s wel aantrekkelijk uit en zeker voor die prijs maar wij zijn wegens bovenstaande na 1 nacht vertrokken aangezien dit echt geen vakantiegevoel was.
