Enjoyed the closeness to the centro. Definitely in a good location within walking distance.
The room they gave us was a bit dirty. Saw a dead cockroach in the entrance of our restroom & spiders on the wall of the room. We just needed a place to stay for the night. Also this property is cash only, which can be an inconvenience for many. No fan in the room like the pictures.
Great location close to the city center.
Only one plug in the room which a fan was plugged into so if a person brought only a phone and cord to use to charge it they would have to have no fan when the phone was charging.

La ubicación.
Muy sencillo.
The Reception staff were friendly but lacked initiative in the situation that occured to me while staying at this hotel. It was ideally located, I liked my first room very much. I was permitted to do some small amount of laundry and hang it in the inner courtyard, which was helpful.
I liked the old world simplicity and the architecture.
I had rested in my room later in the afternoon of my arrival but as I went to go out to eat, there was an issue with the lock and I had to change rooms. It was late, I had had a sleepless overnight lay- over in CDMX en route from La Pax & I was very tired & I forgot some important things in a drawer. The next morning, retrieving these items, I discovered all my reserve US$$ and about 1000 pesos had been stolen from this drawer. No-one in the hotel seemed concerned. It took an hour & repeated requests at Reception for some action to be taken, including requesting Police be called, before finally a Supervisor showed up. She too did not appear to think urgent action necessary until I demanded the police were called. They responded very quickly but at the station, no Police statement was taken; only a Duty Lawyer made a report & gave me a letter to take back to summon the Hotel Manager to attend. No police went to the hotel to talk to the employees, 3 of whom would have had access to the room during the evening, night, and next morning when the cleaner arrived. The Owner/Manager did go to the station apparantly, but did not think the matter of sufficient importance to return to talk to me. I spent the entire day dealing with this & waiting at the hotel, asking to speak with the Management and eventually, only when I got quite angry did the Receptionist finally get thru to the owner/Manager who showed up about 6:30pm. He was implacable. No apologies, no explanations of what had occurred at the Station and what would happen next, nor what action he intended to pusue. Nothing at all. When I expressed my dismay at his indifference, he just said I had taken the correct action in calling the Police. I asked what he was going to do about one (at least) of his employees stealing approx $500 from me, it was clear he had no intention of even so much as talking to them or questioning their actions that night/morning.
We booked the hotel for just one night -- just a place to land in Oaxaca. We wish we had booked for a longer period. It is sooo well-priced and so authentic and the location is excellent. Big open interior courtyard, high ceilings in the room, balconies and comfortable beds.

Quiet, monastic and minimalistic feel in this awesome building.
Floor was impecable, I see the cleaning staff do a good job with the tile floors. Receptionist were kind and prompt to help
no hot water..at least in the room, I stayed.
Good location and good value for the price. Hot water. Sitting area
upstairs outside of rooms with couches and chairs.
The hotel only accepts cash payments (no credit cards). No ceiling fan in room,
only a portable fan on a stand with a short cord and only one outlet to plug it in.
Some street noise if you get a room overlooking the street. Back rooms are quieter
but my back room had no windows.
Este edificio es excelente, muy buena apariencia
La cama rechina mucho y el colchón necesita cambiar
El ambiente es un lugar que te hace sentir qye estas realmente en Oaxaca
La cd. Sigue abandonada
