Traditional hotel in quaint location overlooking the Heath.
Pros:

Traditional old style hotel, with classic decor and standard furniture. The bathroom and shower had ample hot water with good pressure. Lovely buffet breakfast with reasonable choice. Fantastic "village green" location directly opposite the Heath. Iconic panoramic views from the Shard to Canary Wharf.

Cons:

A lot of wobbly bannisters on narrow staircases. The lift from reception does not go directly to bedrooms, there are still a few steps, and I saw a few guests struggling with large cases. I had difficulty getting comfortable water temp in the shower, as markings not obvious on the shower control taps. The filter coffee in breakfast room wasn't very nice. Traffic noise enough to disturb sleep at times.

Good traditional hotel in Blackheath
Pros:

Good location facing the common and very close to Blackheath village.

Very spacious and airy breakfast room/dining room. There's a garden but we didn't use it.

Cons:

Elevator only goes to second floor. Third floor rooms are accessed by (some) windy staircases.

Third floor rooms are much smaller.

Absolute Empfehlung
Pros:
