We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Porters, Havelock North - great little town and wonderful hotel
Pros:

The room was very comfortable and well designed.
The Staff/Management were very welcoming and helpful with our queries regarding activities.
Although not part of the hotel, the adjoining restaurant was excellent for dinner.

Pros:

The location

Cons:

Argumentative front of reception.
Fire doors were wedged open, increasing our risk when staying there.
When we bought this to their attention they were augmentative and kept the door wedged open

Lovely hotel with large room
Pros:

Room was generous in size and very comfortable. Very clean and nice decor. Was lovely to have doors that open up to a little deck and nice to feel fresh air. Amenities had everything we needed. Restaurant was superb - highly recommend.
