Excellent beachside hotel
Pros:

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Arena Hotel in Ipanema Beach. Facilities and rooms good, location great, breakfast amazing. We also enjoyed the restaurant for lunch and dinner, recommended.
The stand out for us were all the staff, who really went out of there way to ensure we had the best experience possible. A big thank you to them all.

Great first experience in Rio
Pros:

I had a great experience here with the service. checking in was a breeze, everyone’s very friendly and tentative. The food was really good cocktails even better. Igor upstairs made my trip with a great atmosphere and was very friendly with many suggestions for my first time in Rio.
Thank you Igor I will definitely be back !

Great Location
Pros:

The location and vibes were amazing! The hotel was great. The food was amazing. Easy pick-up for Uber. The beach was very close and walking distance.

Pros:

Proximity to the beach was excellent.

Cons:

The pool was very small. Only one loft functioning for most of our stay. Needed to move rooms on the last night cause the air conditioning failed. Some staff were good, others could perhaps try to smile. The hotel took a large cut from the tourist trips and the ones they advertised were not just more expensive, they were almost double in cost to other recognised and perfectly good competitors; I don't mind slightly more expensive but the difference was the wrong side of being rip off....not all leaflet distributors are dodgy...we got a really good trip for half the cost the hotel handouts wanted.

Precisa melhorar!!!
Pros:

A localização e o café da manhã!

Cons:

O quarto deixa a desejar, principalmente pelo preço cobrado o colchão é deformado e afunda bem no meio, a tv deu problema duas vezes, produtos de higiene pessoal oferecidos pelo hotel não são de qualidade. A área da piscina é minúscula e a piscina não estava com um aspecto de limpa!

Good and safe overall and excellent location.
Pros:

Stayed 5 nights.
Location is excellent and aparador rocks just behind the hotel, with the nice part of Ipanema beach just there.
Walk to Ipanema centre, Copocabana beach ...very secure area.

Breakfast is very good and varied. We ate one night at the restaurant and that was excellent. Pool is tiny and no views though...

Rooms are clean and bathroom OK. Noise insulation was not great even facing the park, but hard to find that in Brazil...
Friendly if not personal service hence not 5*. And value for money could be better but recommended given what else there is on offer.
We enjoyed our stay and felt safe throughout. At the right price this would be a top recommendation

Excellent location at Ipanema beach, delicious buffet breakfast
Pros:

Conveniently located at ipanema beach and copacabana. Near shops and cafes. Area feels safe with many people and police presence. Buffet breakfast is high quality, pastries and tarts were especially good

Cons:

Room appears to be be dated, shower facility is hard to adjust to the right temperature. Water pressure is low.
