Cons:

- Unfortunately the restaurant was closed while we were there. We were informed of this ahead. We had to take taxis into Xpujil town every evening to get dinner, the staff helped us arrange transport.

Sympathique ensemble d’une dizaine de petits chalets individuels, à 35 minutes de l’entrée du parc archéologique de Calakmul. Bien propre. Bon air conditionné petit déjeuner inclus et simple (café, thé, œufs, petites assiettes de fruits coupés).

Good but a tad expensive
Pros:

Quiet location, and nice to spend a night after a long day in Calakmul. Room had everything we wished for. Breakfast was plentiful, and qualitative.

Cons:

A little expensive compared to our other stays in Mexico. We had dinner here as well, and both the food and the drinks are tourist prices, and portions are rather small. Staff was not very enthousiast, but still polite.

Toller Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg nach Calakmul!
Pros:

Wir verbrachten zwei Nächte in der Casa Kaan Calakmul und waren in der Casa Pimienta untergebracht. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, gut klimatisiert und verfügte außerdem über eine Minibar. Der Check-in verlief vollkommen reibungslos und wir konnten sogar bereits gegen 12:00 Uhr einchecken, was für uns sehr praktisch war.

Wir nutzten unseren Aufenthalt vor allem für die Erkundung der Maya-Ruinen von Calakmul sowie Becán. Da wir an beiden Tagen bereits früh morgens aufgebrochen sind, stellte uns die Unterkunft auf Anfrage freundlicherweise jeweils ein leckeres Lunchpaket als Ersatz für das Frühstück bereit – ein wirklich toller Service.

Da die Casa Pimienta keine eigene Küche hat, nutzten wir an beiden Abenden das Restaurant der Unterkunft. Sowohl die Qualität der Speisen als auch die Preise waren sehr überzeugend.

Wir würden die Unterkunft definitiv allen empfehlen, die einen Ausflug zu den Ausgrabungsstätten von Becán und Calakmul planen.

Cons:

Der Wasserdruck im Badezimmer könnte etwas stärker sein. Außerdem kühlt die Minibar eher moderat. Wir empfehlen daher, Getränke im kleinen Gefrierfach zu lagern – sie frieren dort nicht ein, werden aber angenehm kalt.

Pros:

Lieu très propre, très apaisant car on est un peu dans la forêt mexicaine 🥰 beaucoup d’oiseaux à observer!

Perfect location for a few relaxing days along the Mayan corridor

Pros:

Very nice cabins in the middle of the forest where you can hear the sounds of nature. Ac works very well and they equip the rooms with nice furnishings, a fridge and coffee maker. Restaurant has delicious food and the breakfast is great. We did a wonderful tour of Calakmul organized by Kaan Expeditions. We would come back here again!

Pros:

Mitten Im Jungle. Aber sehr gepflegt und alles extrem sauber. Sehr gutes Essen. Wir haben die Tour nach Calakmul durch kasa Kaan expirience gebucht. Man könnte die Strasse (JE 2 1/2 für hin und zutück) gut selber fahren. Aber durch die Guides sahen wir viele Tiere dort (Affen, Schlange, coatis usw) auf jeden fall sehr empfehlenswert.

Pros:

Logement très agréable en pleine nature (case Tucan), à la décoration soignée. Petite terrasse pour observer les animaux. Petit-déjeuner à emporter sur demande si vous partez tôt pour la visite du site de Calakmul (à environ 1h30 de voiture).
