Pros:

The main positives were the pleasant decor, and the shower with proper water pressure and temperature retention (a rarity throughout the majority of Scotland).

Cons:

Unfortunately, we were disappointed with a few things, the main one being our room (#2) was situated right by the shop next door whose fans were incredibly loud and persistent, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Closing the window didn’t help with the noise, either.

Other rooms may very well be lovely, but this is the hand we were dealt.

A very comfortable stay
Pros:

Clean and comfortable. Staff very hospitable. Plenty of breakfast choice. Great location for visiting Balmoral and Glamis Castle.

Pros:

Nice room. Liked bar restaurant area. Friendly local people using bar.

Cons:

Dirty underwear in drawer left by previous customer. Male reception manager not pleasant. Didn’t even lift his head to say good morning. First night service extremely slow. Only one member of staff serving.

Pros:

Staff really attentive and friendly, room lovely, comfortable and clean with a great view to the front of the building across a little stream, Great selection of beautiful food on the menu and large portions.
