Location. Friendly staff
It felt rather run down and needed a deep clean.
Food was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly!! Thank you.
It’s a fantastic location with great food and a large comfortable room with sea view.
I wish I’d booked a longer trip. I was sorry to leave.
Hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly
Essentially rooms above a pub/ restaurant but the rooms were exceptionally quiet at night so that wasn't a problem. The reception is essentially the bar which I found charming. The room was on the small side but might be because the bed is so large which is a plus. It was enough for two nights and we loved the bed. Breakfast was okay, you ordered to the table. Not for vegans, though - the only vegan items on the menu were the tomatoes and mushrooms from the Scottish breakfast. The town is small and quiet. The location is beautiful and it's right at the sea front.
Our room window overlooked a small graveyard. This was not in the pictures and not in the ad on booking. I did ask to change when I got there and realised but it was too late and they were fully booked, the only other room available, they said, has the same view. It may well not be a problem for many people, some may even like it, but it is not for everyone and it really should be more transparent. Wouldn't be a problem for someone who booked the sea front view I suppose.
The shower pressure was really low. You could switch between the normal shower and the overhead shower, but the overhead shower essentially had 4 small streaks of water coming out so we never used it.
I liked the position of the hotel and the view from the room
The hotel needs upgrading.Carpets old, scratched bedroom furniture, poor lighting and water pressure in bathroom and silicon needing redone in shower. Two vegan mainmeals unexciting and no sweet so ate elsewhere inthe evening. No vegan breakfast, not even plant milk or spread fot toast. My husband who is not vegan had a full Scottish breakfast.I had dry toast, mushrooms and tomatoes. The hotel had asked us if there was any requests before arrival and they knew in advance that one of us was vegan.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, food was nice.
Everything was fine. 👍
Lovely friendly pub in a great location.
Everything was great.

The overall hotel is very tired
Shower was not clean & old black mould on the silicon of the shower base
Great food, pleasant staff and a good pub.
Excellent location. Free parking nearby. Good food
Great shower and view from room
Room very small. As it was attic room the sloping roof made the appearance and feel much smaller. Wouldnt suit a tall couple
location great. Excellent pub and plenty of seating in the restaurant if you couldnt get a table in the bar. Room clean and shower room. Shower good. Roof lie-ins in the bedroom made the room smaller but good side window let in plenty air.
A bit slow on the breakfast, last day we grabbed cereal and juice as were time constrained and only saw a member of staff as we left the dining room
The staff were lovely, very pleasant and helpful
We loved the location of the hotel, overlooking the harbor, beach . The menu for evening meals was fabulous, we ate there twice and had absolutely no complaints , the food was delicious.
Not really a dislike, we liked very much ! Would have been nicer with a bigger room . But we had a king sized bed, which was very comfortable
Location on the harbour front
Place is dated and needs a refurbishment, windows and internal glass needs cleaned and all tables are sticky and need degreasing.
