Pros:

Location and staff. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

King sized bed in a boxroom, doesn't work. Couldn't open the wardrobe to use it.
Restaurant, living on past glories, conservatory area dirty. Exterior dirty. The whole place just needs a good clean and that's no disrespect to the housekeeping team,who have an impossible task. Owner/ management need to take a good close look at everything. I appreciate, things may be tough in hospitality but the place is busy and some attention to the fabric of the building wouldn't go amiss. It let's the staff down.

Comfortable rooms in a good location with good food.
Pros:

Good location in Portpatrick. Clean, comfortable rooms with en suite facilities and coffee making facilities. Excellent breakfast and bar/restaurant meals are good too.

Breakfast was great and staff helpful

Cons:

It would have been reasonable at the time of booking the room for the hotel to let me know there would be a live band playing loud music right underneath my bedroom until 11.30pm for both of the two nights of my stay. Apparently live music is a regular feature for the hotel on Fridays and Saturdays, so this information would have been known by the hotel in advance, but was not communicated to me when making the booking or between booking and making the trip.

Live sea front hotel with outstanding staff.
Pros:

Fabulous location right on the front. Staff were exceptional in their friendliness and we were made very welcome. Good breakfast available. Despite being above the pub the rooms were quiet.

Cons:

Our twin room was a little bit small but adequate size as only there for one night and as an older property it was in character with the building.

We loved our stay, room 12 is beautiful, and we will definitely go back, hopefully to room 12!
Pros:

The menu was excellent and the dinners were great. The menu offered enough choice for us to try something different every night if we were there for a fortnight. We especially loved the scallops and the Cullen skink.

Cons:

The breakfast menu is a bit limited for nowadays but what we had was very good.

Relaxing and recharging the batteries
Pros:

Breakfast menu was tasty and a good variety of choices available. Room was very comfortable, if a little small ( only because we were in one of the loft rooms :D ) Overall the atmosphere in the Crown made for a relaxing and informal time

Cons:

Nothing at all - the price of the ferry from home to get across 12 miles of water :)

Pros:

"My stay at the Crown Hotel in Portpatrick was a wonderful experience. Portpatrick itself is absolutely stunning—the town is like something straight out of a postcard.

The hotel did not disappoint; my room was very clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had an awesome view to wake up to. What truly made the stay special, however, was the staff—they were the best and so welcoming.

As a solo traveler, the only slight challenge I encountered was navigating the stairs with my suitcase, which was a bit difficult for me. Aside from that, it was a fantastic visit, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful coastal getaway."

Not good enough
Pros:

Location, food staff good.

Cons:

Room was ok but. Camp ceiling would have troubled a dwarf. Im 6'1".
Carpets on stairs to room were filthy.

Lovely stay
Pros:

Lovely comfortable bed. Great views. Food is delicious . Staff are so professional and hard working.

Cons:

Rooms could do with a coat of paint.
If you like sleeping before midnight at the weekend, take a pair of earplugs. Entertainment in the pub can be noisy.
