Super Hotel für einen Kurztrip
Pros:

Sehr sauber und schöne Lage es m Wasser. Nettes Personal.
Mit dem Fahrrad ist Hoorn und Alkmaar gut zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber für ein paar Nächte brauch ich auch keinen Schrank. Die Größe des Zimmers war gut. Wir würden es wieder buchen.
Das Frühstück war völlig ausreichend.

Cons:

Die Treppe war für unseren Hund ein großes Hindernis. Aber er ist auch sehr ängstlich. Wir mussten ihn tragen.

Very affordable price compared to Amsterdam
Pros:

We arrived by car from Germany to the Netherlands and decided to stay in a hotel about 15 minutes’ drive from the city — and it turned out to be a great choice. The main advantage is the very affordable price compared to Amsterdam, while still being relatively close to the city.

Overall, the room was comfortable and clean. The temperature became pleasant very quickly — the heating worked well and warmed up the room fast. The windows can be opened and there are mosquito screens, so insects were not a problem. The shower was also good: strong water pressure, stable hot water, and no issues with the bathroom facilities.

Another plus is the convenient location: there are beautiful places nearby worth visiting — Zaanse Schans and Zaandam. We were travelling with a small dog, and there was no extra fee for it, which is a big advantage. Parking at the hotel was also free. The only additional cost was a tourist tax of about 2 euros per person.

In terms of amenities, the room had two towels per person and one more for hands, and all basic toiletries were provided. This included shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion, as well as cotton buds and cotton pads, which was a nice extra touch.

Overall, we arrived late in the evening, stayed overnight, and left the next day — it is a good option for a short stop. We would consider coming back again in the future!

However, there were also some downsides. We had a double bed made from two single beds. One mattress was soft and comfortable, while the other was covered in some kind of protective plastic or bag, which made a lot of noise. It was practically impossible to sleep on it properly.

It is also worth noting that check-in is only possible until 10 PM, which may be inconvenient for late arrivals.

There is no kettle in the room, and when we asked for hot water, we were given a thermos with 3 tea-bags for which we were charged 19,50 euros. In our opinion, this is quite expensive for such a basic service.

Eine Nacht in der netten Villa Groet, großartig.
Pros:

Der Blick aufs Wasser ,ich glaube im Sommer wenn die Außengastronomie läuft ist der Ausblick auch prachtvoll.
Das Frühstück war super lecker , obwohl auf Nachfrage auch glutenfrei erwünscht wurde es aber leider alles Vollkorn war war es super köstlich und abwechslungsreich . Der Service war super . Gibt nix zu meckern. Man fühlte sich willkommen. Gut fanden wir auch das es direkt in der Nähe in der Straße eine Bar gab. Und die Lebensmittel Geschäfte waren auch nicht weit entfernt,ca 15-20min zu Fuß. Nach Amsterdam waren es ca 30min und nach Egmond an Zee auch nur ca 30min . Und ganz in der Nähe von Alkmaar, das würde ich mir dann bei einem nächsten Besuch gerne mal anschauen.

Cons:

Wir haben erstmal den Eingang gesucht um einchecken zu können 🤭, haben ihn aber dann gefunden 😃. Wir waren zwar nur eine Nacht dort aber ein Wandregal für ein paar Klamotten wäre noch empfehlenswert. Und im Bad in der Dusche die Silikonfugen müssten mal von ein paar wenigen schwarzen Flecken befreit werden. Sonst war wirklich alles super schön .

De locatie was top.

Cons:

We wilde rond 21 uur nog naborrelen. We hadden het gevoel dat we werden weggeven door het personeel. Dat was heel jammer.

There was a parking space pretty close.
Staff was nice.

Cons:

Windows are very poor. One night when the wind was blowing hard, i could fell it trough the window and was very cold in the room. Also in the morning you can hear all the cars passing like there is no window.
