I booked into this hotel rather hastily after my initial accommodation was substandard. This place was a little bit more expensive than I would have liked to have paid but that's what you get for booking last minute. This hotel doesn't have any charm or character, and I didn't see any robots, but it is a very nice hotel. It is very clean and modern and well appointed. The location is excellent with it being on a quiet street surrounded by lots of good restaurants and cafes. On the two nights that I was there was some live entertainment on the street in front of the hotel with dancers and fire twirlers and whatnot.
If it's in your budget and you want a nice, clean, modern place to stay then I think this would be a good option

Nice hotel in many respects. However our bathroom stinks of dirty drains and sewage. The water in the shower does not drain away anywhere near quickly enough and backs-up on the shower floor - which then overflows and floods the bathroom floor. It’s impossible to shower properly without flooding the bathroom. I suspect the stink and the flooding are related - blocked shower waste drain. Another member of our tour group had exactly the same issues in their bathroom.

Breakfast is mediocre at best. WiFi in room is almost useless.

Room lovely, clean and comfy. Air conditioning. Music event they put on fantastic.
Unfortunately the customer service wasn’t great in both reception or restaurant. Limited breakfast menu.
Unfortunately wouldn’t use again.

Great Stay for a Family Traveling Through Sri Lanka

My wife, two children, and I stayed at this hotel for one night while traveling around Sri Lanka, and overall we had a very pleasant experience.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and our room was spotless with all the amenities we needed. We booked a room with two large beds (queen size, possibly king size), which provided plenty of space for our family. The room also included a dining table and a comfortable sofa, making it feel even more spacious and convenient. The addition of a microwave and refrigerator was especially useful during our stay.

The only downside was a damp, musty smell in the corridor on our floor. Fortunately, once we entered our room, the smell was not noticeable at all.

Overall, this is a comfortable and family-friendly hotel that offers good value and convenience. I would happily stay here again and would rate it 8/10.

Nice room but too much focus on “robot room service” gimmicks. No power points in the room. Not a lot in the area but The Dutch Bar and the cafe were decent and the coffee at the cafe was the only option other than the swill provided at the buffet. The food at the buffet was very limited and for our evening meal we had to fight our way through an event being held in the same space. Breakfast buffet was tasteless and the juices despite being fruity were warm and gross.

Good hotel. They have even a robot for room service orders. Rooms are tiny but ok. Maintained well. Only the problem is hotel feels too cramped. Service is better than many good hotels.

Good and reliable hotel,situated in proximity to downtown of Colombo.Quite street,nice and friendly people.Good and friendly hotel staff.Accomodation is suitable for single or couple visitors.Clean and tidy room,living quarters as well.Quiet area,all personnel is respecting the rest of the visitors.There is no signifficant traffic arround.Dining quarters are clean,tidy and well arranged.Food variety is on level.Don't forget to bring your power adapter,in case that you are coming from a different ower sicket country!All positive scores,except the average quality of the room WiFi and the quality and variety of the TV channels.Strongly recommend to all visitors.The hotel is valuable and meets my standards for relaxing.

Went to put me in a different cheaper hotel (without even telling me they’d booked me into a different hotel, only saying ‘your room is in the next building’) and pocket my money for the difference in price! I paid for this room 3 months in advance. Not once did I receive an apology for their attempted deceit. They only communicated with me after I realised what they were trying to do and I insisted on getting my money back for the difference in cost. After 45 minutes of going round in circles with them refusing to give me any of my money back and me just wanting to go to a room (I no longer wanted to stay in that hotel but they didn’t care, took 0 accountability & were happy to have me stood in the hotel lobby crying), I was eventually given a room key for the hotel I’d actually paid to stay in 3 months earlier.
